    Awesome

  • Do these work for fly net doors?

  • In the event of a screen cut or glass frame breakage, it can be easily opened from the inside, posing potential implications for home insurance coverage.

Isn't it the case with every lock that has a knob (instead of a keyhole) on the indoor side?

Is it actually a real issue with the insurance or just something you thought of? You can open most of the windows by breaking the glass. So what you're saying sounds like: home insurance may not cover a break-in, because.. a perpetrator can break in.

      • we've got a key-only dead-bolt on our front door thats in addition to the knob with keyhole on the external. in saying that though, if someone were to break in and couldnt exit via the front cause of the key-only deadbolt, they'd just leave via the garage… lol

  • Can I asking the installation? Is it all right for DIY?

    • If your door is compatible, it's not too complicated. The Eufy site has details on what measurements you need.

  • I'm brand new to smart door locks and hoping someone knowledgable can take couple of minutes to look at the specs of my current lock on this link and advise if above can be used as a direct replacement for self install. - https://www.gainsboroughhardware.com.au/content/dam/gainsbor…

I have handle similar to yours and have this electronic lock installed in addition (Why not both?).

The reasoing being, you need a handle to open the door, the camera will sit a little low if you put it where the handle usually is and finally this is not ideally used as a primary lock.

I would look into the costs of having this installed, its not that much when you consider the advantages.

      • Hadn't thought about adding the smart one in addition to existing lock. The only downside I can think of is that someone might accidentally press the button from inside and lock the door using existing lock and defeat the convinence of not having to have a key on me.

The people saying $318 im pretty sure that was a price error. Even if you paid only 318, I doubt it will be that price again.

  • I just got one! Thanks!
