Yup agree…. my rewards dollars bought it down to $10 with 600ml drink and 2 x cookies… good old high school days are long gone..
The old $5 footlong meatball subs, used to buy them all the time. I mean this was 20 or so years ago so of course they would have gone up

I don't get who eats Subway nowadays. It's heavily processed fast food no matter how they advertise it. For the price they want, I can get a meal + soft drink in a sit down restaurant. Their app has zero deals compared to other fast food places.

If you are coming across a sit down meal with a soft drink for $8.00, I would strongly recommend posting it as a deal.

You need to read the fine print ('as the restaurant is something imagined in the poster's head, pricing only applies to figments of their imagination')
The cheapest footlong + drink at my local is $17.75
Well it is great that you were being clear and honest and commented on a deal about $8 subway, didn't mention a drink, and then said "For the price" that you could "get a meal + soft drink in a sit down restaurant"
So given drinks anywhere these days are the $4.50-$5.50 mark that puts a footlong sandwich around the $12 mark. That seems relatively reasonable these days given a Big Mac which is maybe a 1/3 of the size is around the $7.50-8 mark.
And which "restaurant" can you sit down and eat with a soft drink for $17.25?

At least 4 Subway franchises have closed down in my area over the past 2 years. I’m guessing they aren’t as popular as they used to be.
I’d still prefer to eat at Subway than what McDonald’s or KFC dish up
I think it's more consolidation from trying to have one on every corner like they used to :)
Its more the way corporate mismanagement results in zero profit for the franchise owners, no different to all the nandos stores that have closed.

For some reason the promo was listed in my app twice. I was able to use one in store and then scheduled one for pick up tomorrow.
Just as well, as my store always runs out of rye bread which is really annoying.
Their RRP from 3 months ago is now considered a bargain, sad.
I miss when this was the normal pricing.
