  • Thanks OP, almost bought these at 29 then at 20 then at 15..
I don’t think I can hold on for less than $7

    • No profit, not good.
      It's the OzBargain way.

Each port provides 36 W of power and supports fast charging.

    Each port is 18W

    • True, was just copy/pasta

    • +6

According to the box, it looks like a single port will do 36W if the other is not in use.

      • +3

        35W. Near enough 😀
        Worked with my laptop.

    • +3

It does 35w out of one port with nothing else

  • cool! just grabbed two and should have good usage of them!

  • +3

Got one delivered along with a ream of paper with their free 2-hour delivery. Feels like I'm living in the future.

    In stock in VIC too.

    • Pls share link to the paper?

      • Don't think the paper was free, only the delivery.

    • In the future, there are no ream of paper

I got one of these a week or so ago for $10. Does what it says on the box and doesn't seem to get too hot. It also reminded me I only have a few proper type C to C cables around the house…

Note: It has "smarts" so does some sort of power negotiation and did not run at full power for a few combinations of cables & adapters I tried, especially old and/or cheap stuff. I assume this is normal behavior with type C PD chargers. I did get it to light up some of my old type A to C "QC" auto cut-off cables indicating >5V with a 3.0 adapter though.

Spent a few mins staring at the usb charging aisle. They were at the front of the store in the checkout line for me. There are wireless charging pads in the same style available for $6 too.

    • Ordered one not realizing that they were 15W chargers. Pretty good.

  • +3

my goodness but ain't they purty

    • +9

If you like infected Petri dishes

      🤮

      • Nothing stops you from putting on some 3D wrap or some spray paint

  • +1

24 minutes flat from order to delivery (~11 minutes of that was driving).

Besides that garish design, it's fairly compact (plenty of room to put them next to other things) and seems to work well.

    • +1

Does it look like the design is printed on? reckon it would rub off easily with alcohol?

      • +1

The design is actually embossed on there - not sure if it would rub off with alcohol but I gave it a fair scratch with my fingernail and nothing happened.

        • +1

Thanks! Much appreciate your efforts checking, have a good holidays :)!

        • +2

Spent all $ on quality printing, none on the designer…

  • GaN is the gold standard in charger tech and keeps it 'cool' when fully charging .. innit!??

    • +2

keeps it 'cool' when fully charging

The infamous Heymix chargers are also supposed to be GaN, so take that with a grain of salt.

      • +4

Oh, that's the Chinese "GaN" (4th tone)

    • I tried this today. For some reason got really hot.

  • Bought mine last time and found it won’t charge my iphone 15 pro

    • +1

      Apple user justice

    • Didnt neg, just wondered why. What cable and adapter did you use?

      • charger doesn’t support the PD power negotiation with Apple for whatever reason.

I’ve also had power bricks (imuto) that doesn’t support power from an apple charger (ac)

        • Looked at all the comments including those in previous deals, seems not for iPhone 15/pro ONLY, hmh, interesting. I dont have a 15, just keen to buy one as a backup for my 14 pro, iPad pro, watch etc.. will report back.

    • Confirmed - this happened to me too.

  • Genuine question: Have been using Samsung chargers all the time.. Have always been skeptical with other not-so-big brands.. Would they have good quality control for safety? Can chargers somehow install any kind of malware to your phone considering you are plugging it into usb.

    • Modern phones normally ask for permission when a data transfer request is made, but you never know. Someone may have found a vulnerability. I believe it is highly unlikely, unless you are specifically being targeted, though.

  • +1

Works perfectly on my s23 ultra 1TB but not on my iphone 15 pro max 1TB.

    • +2

Plugged into my German shepherd and nothing happened, but into my chihuahua and it made the windows_device_disconnected.wav sound. Ymmv I guess.

Edit: my chihuahua was wearing small booties, unsure if that had an influence

      • +2

        That sounds ruff

  • Got a zebra one from Bourke St. They're on the far end of the USB cables/chargers section. Also had little Bluetooth speakers for $7.

  • Already 2 comments saying that it wont work with iphone 15 pro. I got one, anyone can confirm? That will save me 10 minutes drive. Or if I stop to be lazy, I will do myself.

    • +3

Confirmed. Don’t do it if it’s only for an iPhone

FFS…… OZB'd while their stoopid website took too long to load pages :(

    • +1

For where? I'm still seeing stock…?

      • WA. Says none available online now

        • Which pattern? I'm seeing stock

          • @spackbace: All 3.
Was initially the cow showing unavailable so I tried to add the zebra.
By the time that page loaded it was also unavailable then i refreshed the search page and all 3 were greyed out

            • +2

@rakeem: Change your store to a different store.

They're all showing available at various stores in WA

        • I just ordered 2 in WA. They had stock Belmont, Cannington and Cockburn. Didnt look elsewhere.

  • +1

Bought one in the last deal - great charger BUT it doesn’t charge the new usbc iPhones. Everything else is fine and checked it does do 35w

(profanity) usbc is a crock when you need to deal with problems like this.

    • +7

Apple: Fine, we'll do USB-C But we'll ruin the compatibility internally.

    • -1

just add a mini old powerbank in the middle, Apple only uses like 10W anyway

      • Mine charges at 25w

  • +2

These support PPS so super fast charging works on my Galaxy Fold 5 and S23 Ultra:

    https://imgur.com/a/F4yxhVK

    • -3

Lmao 45W Charging is most definitely not fast.

      • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ super fast charging is Samsung's nomenclature
It's not OnePlus warp charging speed but then again those require proprietary chargers and cables.

        • Lol Samsung are pretty far behind with the times.

Well Asus, RedMagic and even now on my Motorola are using PD 3.0 standardised charging and I get 65W charging out of it.

My last Xiaomi had 33W charging to get a full charge in like 50 minutes but again proprietary cables for that. 67W, 120W, and don't even mention the 240W for Realme etc.

  • Got this a few weeks ago and didn’t work on my iPhone 15 or my Apple Watch. Useless for me. Gave it to someone with a Samsung phone and galaxy watch, it worked well for them.

  • Dont know about everyone else, but mine shows in store only.

  • Out of stock online in QLD

  • Would this work with iPhone 15 Plus?

  • Thanks ordered 2, they certainly aren’t good looking but for $7 I’ll put up with them

Those hideous wireless charging pads also seem to be down to $6. Not sure on stock.

Ordered to delivered in a little over an hour. Crazy.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the unit, despite its looks. It's smaller than it looks in the pictures.
It seems to happily fast charge my S23 and Galaxy Watch 5 (one at a time. Regular speeds when charging together).
My Lenovo laptop was even happy to play along with it, though I suspect this would be a trickle charge when in use.

    Good deal for $7!

  • I tried this and got really hot. I understood Gan chargers to not gear hot!

    • GAN chargers support higher temperature.

      • So Gan chargers don’t actually keep them cool rather support higher temperature😂. I was wrong then.

  • Mine gets hot too.

  • Fyi this charger work perfectly with steam decks since they charge at a stable 32w on PD

  • Picked mine up and I can confirm it does not charge an iPhone 15 Pro.

It's also very finicky with other devices. My Xbox headset will only charge if it is the only device plugged in. If I have two devices trying to charge, the headset refuses.

I suspect this device has some very weird PD profiles that it supports.

      USB-C iPad Pro OK
      Lightning iPad Pro OK
      USB-C Apple Watch charger OK
      USB-C PD powerbank OK

  • Order went through, OW cancelled and refunded.

Got 2x from Subiaco, still several in stock. Plus also got 2x Otto 2m USB C to C cables which are actually quite nice for only $5 a pop.

  • +1

Few weeks of using it with Android stuff, and it's working fine. It would be perfect to put in a travel bag.

  • The Otto 15W wireless charging pad that I bought for Christmas died in 5 days

The ones purchased at Ali seems to last longer

  • +1

Thanks, just bought one today. About 6 left at my local Officeworks
