    Perfect because they are rubbish for both of the above use cases.

    If you have an iPhone and want something mostly for making and taking calls these are great.

        Yes, spoken word is the main use case.

        Not great for noisy environments though as no seal from outside noise, so less useful on the train etc.

            @sh4hp: I have the 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen and a pair of Sony WF-1000XM3. Use cases as follows:

            • 2nd Gen out and about (they have had a good life so don't care about dropping them anymore also prefer the tap to pickup/drop call functionality)
            • 3rd Gen at home (keeping them fresh)
            • WF-1000XM3 for music and when I need noise cancellation (need to upgrade these as battery life is now woeful although I will attempt a battery replacement too)

    They're fantastic if you own everything Apple. It is seamless to switch between your Mac, iPhone and Apple TV.
    Sound quality is excellent unless of course you're comparing it to $300+ headphones or earphones.

  what about Nothing Ear Stick for around $95?

  seems to be a good alternative earphone style TWS. app has full EQ control and they got ANC through a firmware update (probably not as effective as in-ear ANC though).

  I think I will stick with $25 to $30 TWS because if I step on them they are gone. but an alternative suggestion to conventional "airpods".
