alt brewing choice of delivery partner, aramex has abysmal shipping times. ordered a picopresso from this guys late november and it's still yet to be delivered.
think twice before ordering a xmas gift from them.

I am so sorry to hear this, could you please provide your order number and our customer service team can follow this up as soon as possible.

      • my wife ordered it.
        ORDER #492444

        on Nov 29.
Shipping was quoted to be 1-4days.

        honestly, Auspost is more reliable.

@AlternativeBrewing: No one got 'in touch' at all

Can confirm this is just to clutter and confuse this thread.

Aramex is going to deliver it soon, but I'll look into this to see if it's indeed an issue with AB, not Aramex.

I had similar issues with them on my order. Issue wasn't the courier it was the guys at alternative brewing being dishonest about shipping. Absolute nonsense responses about why they wouldn't ship my order.

The responses from the reps felt bizarrely like my bad experience with Desky. Googled it and lo and behold they're owned by the same people.

As I mentioned last time, if you want to run the gauntlet, pay with paypal and make it easy for yourself to just reverse the charge if they give you the runaround.

Lets see if they try and pad this post with lines and lines of nonsense feedback to make negative comments harder to find.
      Such a shame…

        Hi,

Very sorry for your experience. Could we please grab your order number so we can look into this?

I have passed this onto the manager who wishes to get in contact and look into what happened in your situation specifically.

        thank you!

      • Thanks, was semi keen on this. But i think i'll just stick to my Breville coffee machine.

Interesting feedback! Here is my experience:

I bought Fellow Ode Gen 2, and box seal was opened and packaging inside was torn. I asked them if they send me a used one / return but they said it was new. As it a while for them to get back I end up using it but didn't think much of it and they didn't provide any solution either.
Also Acaia plate had bump and definitely not their fault but it took a many weeks to sort out as they had to reach out to supplier and had to send previous one back.

After this experience I don't think I'm buying anything from them again. I bought before from them a few yrs back and didnt have any issues.

      • Now you made me feel better about buying from an UpDown instead of Desky…

I agree, Aramex is the worst! I had zero trust in that company and I always write on all my online shopping that I do not prefer Aramex as my shipping method.

    • Yep I have had the same experience with an order placed at a similar time. So frustrating.

Tried to get in touch with these guys to get an advise but they don’t have a retail store, don’t have a phone number, chat person has zero knowledge and has a generic reply “send an email”.
There are plenty of other stores with much better customer service and humans behind the store front.

  • considering the comments above and the fact my experience was from a couple of years ago now, I suppose people had better take this with a grain of salt - but I bought this item from these guys and I had a perfectly normal online retail experience and the coffee you can get out of this thing is great. Can't remember what I paid for it though…

    • I bought a Eureka grinder from them earlier this year and didn't have any issues. Of course, we could have been the lucky ones.

  • thank you for your feedback guys, I was eyeing a drip coffee machine from them but I think I will have to find another seller.

  • how about the 2in1 :)

I had issues with these guys too. I bought a grinder but they sent me the older model instead - there’s no version on the packaging so it wasn’t obvious until I started using it that the new features weren’t there.
They eventually apologised and refunded me after shipping it back but it was a huge waste of time and I’m not sure if they were hoping I wouldn’t realise it’s an older model.

Notice everything they sell is 4 or 5 stars??! I bought the Hario Shizuku slow drip and rated it only a 1 or 2 star…. submitted my review and it didnt get published…. You'll be hard pressed to find any critical reviews for anything they sell…. So seek advice elsewhere!
