Come over this when I was hunting for a new plan. They are giving three months access free on selected models, excluding Samsung and Apple phones. Also if you sing up through Buckscorp then you should get a $48 cash back as well (Not guarantee). The One X and One S caught my attention due to the bonus Beat Solo headphone. Below is my calculation and you be the judge if it’s a good deal:

One S $0 on big plan 39, Contract price is $936, the free access $117, the phone (Aus Stock) cost at least $470, the headphone cost $190 you pay $6.625 (4.625 if you get the buckscorp cash back) for a plan with $450 credit, 1G data and unlimited free V2V calls and txt.

One X $0 on big plan 49, Contract price is $1176, the free access $147, the phone (Aus Stock) cost at least $570, the headphone cost $190 you pay $11.208 (9.208 if you get the buckscorp cash back) for a plan with $450 credit, 2G data unlimited txt and unlimited free V2V calls txt.

      Lots of Optus resellers sell the $39 plan for a huge discount (I get it for $15 through my ISP). Not worth paying an extra $20+/month and being locked in for 2 years to get a free phone.

    With virginmobile reducing the value of the BIG caps by $200 I can't say it's a deal either.

    Checkout liveconnected, vaya, redbullmobile or Amayasim for a sim and a decent smartphone outright or second hand. I saw a Nokia 710 for under $200 here on ozbargins delivered! Virgin are being kneecaped by its parent Optus as they were stealing too many higher spend customers it seems.

    Also they charge extra for special calls on top of caps like 13/18 and as much as $1 a minute extra!!! Daylight robery.

      Where did they say reduce credit by 200??

      Plan cost wise this deal is at least on bar with liveconnected , it like u buy the hardware outright but with interest free credit.

        Big Plan used to be $29 450 cap $39 650 cap. 2gb data bonus was back then now it's 3 months free which is nice.

    Use liveconnected, calculate the money you save over 24 months, then use the amount you would have paid to virgin and buy a galaxy s3. I also looked at virgin but they couldn't beat the LC and kogan combined price
