  • There’s also this deal for Westpac cardholders

So in total you’d be getting $10 promo credit from OP’s deal and $10 total cashback from a combined $150 gift cards ($75 for Amazon, $75 for ShopBack SS)

    • +1

How do you stack this deal with the westpac one?

      • +2

        You don’t :)

It’s just a heads up for others if they wanna load up their gift card balance on Amazon before Boxing Day starts ^_^

  • I’ve bought the GC for $150 and sent it to my email address, how to I see the $10 credit though? Does this come via email or does my Amazon account balance just load up with $10?

    • +7

Add a shipped and sold by Amazon AU to your cart and head to checkout screen to see it being deducted from your cart total as “Promotional Credit”

    • +1

You'll get a separate email from Amazon letting you know the $10 credit has been added to your account. Do note this credit sits separately to your gift card balance.

  • Are you team "6.67% bonus" or are you team "6.25% discount"?

    • +2

      10% & ⬆

  • Dammit. I had to buy 2 as I forgot to enter the code the first time

  • +5

You must use the $10 promotional credit by 11:59PM (AEDT) on 31st December 2024.

    • +1

That's ok. We still have a year to use the credit.

  • +12

Not really worth it when you can get a $150 prezzee with a $10 bonus.

    • Why’s that? Same value and bonus but don’t have to deal with a third party gift card company. Amazon credit in your account within 5 mins.

      • +11

        Same value

        not quite:

promotional credit can only be used for purchases of eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU

    • +4

Wouldn't it be better to get the $150 prezzee card, use it to buy a $150 Amazon gift card with the code above and get two $10 bonuses while only spending $150.

      • +5

I attempted this but prezzee card gives you prezzee credit which you can swap out for another card, I swapped for an amazon card and applied it to my amazon account. Can't use Amazon gift card balance to buy another gift card so I had to also get the $150 Amazon gift card separately to get the additional $10 bonus. Spent $300, got $20 ($10 of which is bonus credit on eligible items).

I shop a lot at Amazon so I'll use it up. Amazon confirmed the $10 promotional credit was applied to my account only a few minutes after purchase.

        • +1

I was actually wondering whether what you suggested would work. I had a feeling you wouldn't be able to use an Amazon gift card to buy another gift card, so thanks for taking the hit to your wallet to actually test it out 👍🏻

          • +1

@GreenGuava: The double dips days have been gone for a while

    • Can avail both promotions…

    • +1

Correct. This deal is average when you consider the limitations of Amazon promotional credit. It can only be used on shipped and sold by Amazon AU, and it won't be refunded if there is an issue with your order/have to return your order

      • In my experience they have always automatically re-issued/enabled the promo credit in case of refunds.

  • Promotional credit email arrived 15 mins after ordering

  • +2

    purchased $200 Amazon GC
waiting the $10 promotional credit in 2 days

    • +3

      received

    To whom it may concern:

There is not a gift code for the $10:

Thanks for purchasing $150 or more of Amazon.com.au Gift Cards. In accordance with the promotional terms, we have now automatically applied a $10 promotional credit to your account which will automatically be applied to your next purchase of eligible item(s) shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

and be aware of the "eligible item", not too good as there is a limitation.

    • That's what the offer says, it didn't say anything about a gift code. Not reading an offer and the terms is a rookie error. But the gift card itself doesn't have to be used on items only shipped and sold by Amazon AU. For example it can be sold by Amazon US and fulfilled by Amazon AU.

    • +1

you are negging the deal because you cant find anything to buy? crazy

      • +1

        Oops negged by accident…sorry

  • +21

For those targeted by AmEx you can buy a $200 Super Shopper Gift Card from the AmEx Special Gift Cards statement credit deal and then stack that into this deal by using the Super Shopper to buy the $150 Amazon gift card.

    • Great advice! Just did that. Thank you

    • +1

      Thanks $160 credit for $135

    • ah crap lol just saw this!

    • Thanks for the tip @daanish

    • Had the $150 GC in my cart and decided to read comments before hitting buy.

Sure glad I did! Another 10% off.

      Thank you!

      • +1

The real deal is always in the comments.

    • great thanks

  • Used to be OOS quickly until Amazon restricted the payment lol

  • Got it, thanks. Assume all gone before 9am

  • Thanks op

  • +1

I entered code and it was accepted. I had to cancel and come back again to make purchase and now it is not accepting code - The promotional code you applied cannot be applied to your purchase

    • +2

it's already been added and will be applied if this is in the Order Summary under Order Total before Placing your order:

      Qualifying offers:

      • Gift Card Deal
      • Gift card deal is not written under order total. Anyway to check where are these promotional codes stored?

        • +1

Only way to tell is add something to your cart, and at the checkout screen $10 will be removed from the total.

re your original reply before you edited:

$150 Spend on Amazon AU Gift Cards

  • +4

Someone double check this, but pretty sure the promotional credit doesn't work with cashbacks.

Such that if you purchases something partly paid by this credit, you are not eligible for cashbacks. Where as payment by proper gift card/gift card balance are eligible for cash back.

    • +2

Pretty sure the cashback is minimal these days, and most products have 0% cashback so really its no loss…

      • +1

It's boxing day coming up, they will have bonuses and probably a basic 0.7% across all categories plus whatever specific ones. Problem is the promotional credit is automatically applied. So you need to make sure it's not used when you are after cash back.

  • Is it OOS now? My code ain't working.

  • Worked for me just then.

  • +1

Shame you can't use Amazon GC to buy other GCs now, otherwise would've jumped on this.

  • Worked for me just now. Thanks OP.

  • +2

These deals are always good to help meet the 3 monthly spends on new credit cards. Thanks OP.

  • wow 10 bucks off massive discount.

  • I've added "Amazon.com.au eGift Card - Amazon Smile - Holiday $150.00 Sold by:Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd" to my cart, when I apply the promo code it says "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

Am I purchasing the wrong Gift Card type?

  • It all helps, thanks OP!

  • Can u use gc in Amazon Jp

    • +1

      no amazon au only

  • -1

Bought it 20 mins ago, got email confirmation but no gc so far

  • +1

Better off with the prezzee deal, you get the $10 gift card instantly then can use it many more places like wish, coles, amazon, ebay, jb etc. Not just limiting yourself to amazon

    • You say that like people won't spend over $160 on amazon in the future

      • Regardless, $10 as credit explicitly in the Amazon account is way better than $10 promo credit that has limitations and expires in a year. And IIRC you can buy multiples of the Prezzee deal

        • Yes I have bought 5-10 of the prezzee deal so far, I keep around $500 balance there and shift the credit around where I need it. You also read plenty of posts on here about peoples amazon accounts randomly being shut down and they lose their balance

  • Amazing, thanks!

  • +1

That's less than 10% value. I suggest not to fuel Amazon because next time they will make it $200 for $10 bonus with lack of competition and people just jump on bandwagon on this

  • Dumb question, when I search on Amazon for a product, the seller option doesn't show on the LH side.
How do I search for items only sold be Amazon.com.au to use this bonus?
I seem to have to click on each item, then I can see a Ships from & Sold by

    • Some categories give you the option to select Amazon Au as the seller. for example the option is there under the computer, home, kitchen, toys category. Look to the left panel and scroll down to 'seller'. Check 'Amazon AU'

      • Thanks for the info

      • I still don't understand why Amazon limits this to a category. It should show when you search for a product, it's crazy

A random guy just private message trying to sell Amazon gift cards. How to report to moderator??

    Likely scam or awkward behaviour

It is notorious and not welcomed.

I have no interest buying in this thread yet he uses a template and spam every single user commented in this deal, and saying I'm interested? Worth a laugh!?

Can we kick these kind of users??

    • I got the same message. I just ignored it.

      • +3

Yeah I know you can ignore but I dislike such behaviour and these posters should be punished

    • i got it too. send him to the mods

    • +1

      I got it too - 10% discount

      Mods already took action

Status In Penalty Box. Expiry: 29/12/2023 - 21:00

  • Have anyone who claim the offer received their $10? Bought it on Wednesday which 2 business days and I haven't got it

    • it only took about an hour. Are you sure you're buying something shipped and sold by Amazon? That's what the $10 only applies too

      • yep, i got the code applied green tick.

      • Did you get any notification? My gift card balance is still $150 and nowhere to find the additional $10.

        • You don't get an additional $10 to your balance, you get a $10 off voucher that is only visible if you have an eligible item in your cart during checkout

  • Does this work for multiple orders? Like 2x$150 redemptions?

    • It helps if you actually read the terms:

"• This Offer is limited to one promotional credit per customer and Amazon.com.au account. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer."

You could also test it. I tested it and it said it couldn't be applied (I already used it).

Sometimes they do work more than once but it should specifically say in the terms. There was a deal a few weeks back that was $2 for a $75 or more, that worked multiple times.

      • Interesting. This worked for me on another account
