      Apparently it due to the bitter coating (child safety) on these battery.

      If you have IPA/glass lens cleaner, you can remove the coating.

        Panasonic I think work well
        Just don’t know where to get genuine Panasonic these days. EBay seems to be littered with fakes but they work haha

      This caught me out too..
      But you can remove the “bitter coating by rubbing it off with isopropyl, and it worked for me
