Bonus Dewalt XR 5Ah Battery (Worth $139) with Purchase of DeWalt LED Work Light (Skin Only) $98.99 @ Bunnings (In-Store Only)

1570

The batteries retail at $134.95: https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-18v-5-0ah-li-ion-battery_…

If you buy the XR work light (skin only) Bunnings are running a redemption offer which is fulfilled in store for a free XR 5Ah li-ion battery.

The skin is $98.99 on its own, so you’re alright saving $35. But you could sell the light on and make the overall cost even less.

This redemption deal covers any of the XR or Atomic skins, says so on the redemption leaflet in store. Staff were surprised this was included.

Happy to post receipt to prove in store purchase and offer redemption.

My receipt; they charged me $0.01 for it though. Will amend title just in case.

  • Great deal, thank you for sharing!

When will Makita ever do such a good deal 😭

  • Had no issue claiming this via a click and collect. In store I went to tool shop first and they grabbed a battery and walked it to click and collect and just dropped it in my bag with the light. Didn't put it through on the receipt at all.

Someone else in this thread suggested you could double dip via dewalt website however doesn't appear possible as they don't list this light as an option to claim on. If anyone else has any luck please let me know!

  • Thanks OP. Managed to get one… eventually. Was a C&C order using Powerpass. Had a bit of resistance but the staff was nice about it. Got 5 involved and eventually, one of the staff walked by wondering what was happening, saw me with the light and straight away said "waiting for your battery?". So I got the battery and the 1c charge was overridden and $0 receipt was issued with the battery.

Was eyeing the Ryobi version as I've got both Ryobi and Dewalt tools. This deal made up my mind 🤣

    1. BUNNINGS WAREHOUSE PURCHASES ONLY: Bonus battery will be charged
at $0.01, but the accompanying eligible DEWALT tool skin purchased has been
reduced in price so the total cost of the DEWALT tool skin and battery is the same
or less than the standard price of buying a DEWALT tool skin. Bonus battery offer
is valid to 30/11/23 while stocks last. Bonus battery redeemable in-store at the time
of the transaction only. For full terms and conditions visit
      trade.bunnings.com.au/brands/d/dewalt or guaranteedtough.com.au for all
applicable models, claims, terms & conditions.

Says it's valid until the end of November.

  • Good work op,
Just bought one at my local regional Bunnings, guy in the tool store knew all about it, has sold a few for the same reason.

  • Went to my local (Delacombe) none left there or at Ballarat store. Bloke said he'd sold 5 today.

  • Not much luck for me here in Bendigo, took 4 ppl to check this but still declined to honour the deal. Asked me to claim it online with DeWalt.

It shows the stock of battery online, but there’s non on the shelf and kept saying they’ve run out of stock.

  • Managed to snap one from Wangara warehouse, no drama.

  • Scored last one (light) in stock @ Bayswater WA, no issues with in store redemption, cheers.

  • +2

Scored one at my local bunnings today, had to ask 2 staff to find someone that knew about the offer. For those still enquiring its probably easier to take it to the counter as the system will flash the register user that it comes with a battery

  • I have the same problem as @dollaridoos

The shop keeper was a very friendly person but she denied the redemption because there is no written source from anywhere she could find that a light qualifies the redemption - she only managed to find the powertool redemption. I showed OZBargain but it's a 3rd party source she can't use. I struggled to find anywhere officially it is mentioned that this light qualifies, even at the vendor's own website. help needed.

Does one need to first go to sign up for that offer berfore buying?

      It’s on their website:
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/brands/d/dewalt

Under terms and conditions it lists the light near the bottom

    • It’s on the terms and conditions and also alerts them as soon as they scan it on the register that it’s part of the redemption.

Numerous times people have mentioned to point them to their own Bunnings DeWalt website promo and click on terms and condition link. Scroll down and match the product code on the website/their system (6260319). Get the manager involved and educate them. Get them to scan the Light on their register (not their handheld).

Some people are incapable of helping themselves.

  • Bought two this morning because time to upgrade my batteries. it doesn’t show on the hand held scanner device of the staffs, they said there’s no such redemption offer for the led light, after I showed them this ozbargain page, he took it to the counter, it shows about the battery offer during checkout .

  • Bought one this morning. Didn’t say anything to staff member, just asked for the Dewalt light from the locked cabinet. The tool shop checkout system then gave a loud alert when the light was scanned and it said free redemption. Staff grabbed a battery and told me what a good deal it was!

Does anyone have the Small Dewalt Blower? Thinking of using that with the deal

    • I do, it's very good, not quite as powerful as a leaf blower but would do the job well enough for most purposes and has an extension tube that helps if used in that way. However, it comes with adaptors for filling pool toys and so on. We often use if for filling a spa and just general use around the house etc. Recommended.

That said, Oztizo have a similar product and we have that as well. The DeWalt is certainly better but both are fit for purpose.

  • Just bought 1 from singleton NSWno issues when the guy scanned it automatically popped up with promo offer

  • One for the Torque Test Channel!

  • This is a really good torch in terms of brightness. Works really well when working under sinks - the dim setting is enough.

I also have it handing in the garage when I enter through one of the doors where there is no light switch. Full brightness really brightens the general garage area.

    • Yeah, I used this on Christmas Eve to paint a cubby house lest minute. Worked a treat.

  • @OP thank you for posting this cracker. Did a click and collect from Belrose, picked up today. Team there were friendly enough to refund it and reprocess on PowerPass so landed this for $94.05 with the battery.

Gradually shifting away from Milwaukee in favour of DeWALT.

2 left in caringbah. Just bought a set

    • I was there ytd and close to buy it too. But saw how much the charger was!

      • Bought one cause im thinking of selling my bosch advanced tools and buying dewalt.

        Worst case ill return it

        • Fair enough. I'm looking to buy some tools but already have a Bosch and am contemplating changing the chargers etc

    Little update on this:

I ordered a light click and collect, they did the battery as a separate charge of $0.01, as normal.

Waited a few days and returned the light, got it as a gift, person used Ryobi or whatever. They processed the refund instantly, no issue. So now I’ve a light and 2 batteries for $99.

  • Missed out, popped into Bunnings today, this led light had been removed from redemption offer. Offer was available for other products, picked up something else instead.

    • The staff said the offer was a mistake and Dewalt would never pay them back. He even refused to give me the battery (locked in the shelve) just to see the checkout price lol, saying I could claim at the Dewalt website myself. Then, I went on the website, saw no option for the work light, and had no choice but to choose a random product for redemption. Didn't look good.

      • Update: The battery arrived today as a surprise. Lucky I didn't give up the claim. I still can get a refund tho as my receipt doesn't have the 1c battery. But I will keep it after I get a charger for it.

  • Has it been extended further
