  • The silicone grips on the rollers will die on you in a few hours of usage. Better be prepared to buy spares and also open it up to replace them.

Consider too the Brother ScanNCut, depending on what you want out of it. Scanning is a game changer.

    • I've got a cricut, so excuse my ignorance - why is scanning a game changer, how does it work on these machines? I assume it is more than just scanning a file to a jpeg or whatever

You scan something then you can apply your cuts directly to the scanned image.

        • Can it scan and cut a few copies on the same sheet?

          • @gadget: If you can place multiples of the same sheet in the exact same spot, or realign the cut marks you made between sheets, yes.

        • Oh ok wow, you're right that is actually quite amazing

@AlwaysOnThePun: You can also put a drawing on there, or any paper picture, and it'll scan it and automatically give you cut lines around it. Or you can open the scan on the desktop software, CanvasWorkspace, and place your own cut lines. With Circuit the closest you can get to this is printing something yourself with alignment code somewhere on the sheet and then cut based on that, because the alignment QR code thing is the only possible way to exactly cut something. I doubt many people even bother using that feature.
