  • Spend the extra money and get 4 X solo cams with solar.
    Thanks me later.

  • Dont get any Eufy with Homebase 2 as they don't allow extended storage, something that they promised back then but never delivered.

    • How does the storage work? Is it on a local hard drive?

My friend bought google cameras recently and it's stored to the cloud, so you pay an annual fee. He says there's free storage but it's only for 3 hours.

      • +1

Eufy Homebase 2 has 16GB but no way of connecting a harddrive. For a single camera on motion detection recording you may get 1-3 months.

If you have multiple cameras Homebase 2 16GB is not enough.

Homebase 3 has 16GB but also the option of connecting a portable drive.

Most people buy Eufy due to the local storage and you dont need to pay for clpud subscriptions.

Google or Amazon cameras are more for cloud storage hence why they have little to no local storage.

Cloud storage is usually preferable for other integrations (face detection based on your contacts, faster alerting to your phone or smart displays, etc)

Eufy's alerting is quite slow compared to the rest of them.

  • chances r by 2moro bunnings will have matched it?

  • Currently $993 at Bunnings

  • so is this homebase 2 and only has storage of 16gb? thats only gonna store couple of days worth recording with 4 cameras?
