which ebay code is stackable with cashback?

    • +12

      None

      • +4

Make sure the first letter is capital 😁

  • +4

    Merry Christmas @gotyourback

    • +1

      Merry Christmas mate.

  • Valid with acceptance of offer, and buy now listing?

    • Offers are never eligible for cashback. Because the best offers cannot be attributed back to cashback provider. Same with auctions.

      • What does that mean?

        • Don't make a best offer to a seller. You won't get cashback.

  • Is there any category has 0% Cashback on eBay ?

    • +1

      Nope, you're good to go

  • What about plus members?

    • eBay: What about them?

  • OP says

Partial payment via gift card alongside use of your eligible linked Westpac card at eBay Australia will earn Bonus Cashback on the full purchase amount via the Westpac Lounge.

Does that mean the full cashback only applies to the one for westpac, and doesn't include the non-westpac cashback?

    • +1

I'm a bit turned around by the wording but to be clear, non Westpac users can receive the 10% Cashback available to all, Westpac users can received both the 10% and the Bonus 10% via the Westpac Lounge. Use of gift cards is fullt stackable for the non-Westpac rate, you can pay fully using gift cards. If redeeming the Westpac Bonus, partial payment using a gift card alongside your Westpac card will receive both rates on the full purchase amount.

Let me know if I've misunderstood your question there!

      • It's clear, appreciate the answer

      • Both cashbacks tracked! Thanks!

  • +12

Had a whole bunch of transactions that didn’t track during BF sales so pretty disappointed and reluctant this time around

    • +1

      Same here.

      • Sorry to hear mates, as always I'm happy to help take a look at any issues where I can when I'm able, bare with and I'll be able to get to your DMs ASAP.

        • That's what you say… but my DMs have sat in your inbox for over a month now….
Forgive me if I've lost faith

          • @Boscom123: yeah GYB cannot do much in some cases like ours, as our cases is handled by some other random teams

Forgive me if I've lost faith

            dont think you are alone

Very weird that no new deal from eBay for 17% or 22% off for today.

    • Yeh, when is it gunna drop?

      • I held off some stuff from the last deal that ended on the 24th for today, hoping that there would at least be a comparable one and then combine with better cashback.

      • +1

eBay Deals usually drop at 10am Tuesdays, not sure if anything good coming today though.

They're usually posted (here) in advance but not always..

  • Eligible for cashback or bonus cashback if using personal ebay plus vouchers?

    • Nope, only those listed on the cashback site, which in this case there are none atm.

      • Is that the same as a gift card code? eBay sent me a $30 code which seems to process as a gift card…

        • ebay gift cards are treated quite differently from vouchers/coupons. What do you mean when you say it processes as a gift card?

          • @donamique: In the checkout, I have to punch in the gift card code in the same field as vouchers/coupons, then in the order total it shows as a voucher/coupon deducted off the price. So I wonder if it counts all the same as using a personal discount voucher, making the cashback ineligible?

            • @Tikester: when ebay sent you the code, did they specify if it was a gift card or voucher to use for next purchase? That should clear things up

              • +1

@donamique: Definitely referred to as a gift card. I'm probably ok with buying the item anyway with gift card, so I'll treat a cashback as bonus. Thanks!

                • +1

@Tikester: Yea sounds like a gift card if that’s the case. You do put the gift card into the same field as the voucher/coupon.

  • Exclusions & promo code usage
    0% lame

Perhaps this has been asked somewhere before but I cannot find the answer so asking now: when there's an upsized cashback with a $ cap, like this offer, I presume once you hit the cap there's no additional cashback at the regular (lower) cashback rate. Is that correct? Therefore for very expensive purchases one needs to consider if an uncapped lower cashback rate is more beneficial than a capped higher cashback rate.

    • +1

Yes that’s how it works lol. You would be looking around a ~$200 purchase to maximise this deal. Someone can work out the GST component to find the exact value.

  • Good enough but remember BF had better deal.

  • +4

Just reminding you dont expect Westpac bonuses to honored ( not at least for ages, until you forget about them ).

And especially when normal cashback not tracked (tends to be Every now and then now) added manually by claim etc. That time even higher that shopback will just not honor Westpac bonus. (Talking about my pizza hut Westpac experience, eBay with Westpac wont be must different either)

    • Agreed. I had a 10% BigW bonus cashback rejected because SB said "there was no bonus that day" even though it was clearly on their westpac page as 10% bonus. As I dont have a repository of screenshots for every click, I was out of luck.

      • Happy to help look into these issues on my end mates, always happy to go in to bat for OzBers when things go awry.

        • I logged a case and it was rejected twice. Your website often doesn’t match your “bonuses”.

    • +1

Yeah gotta say I get the feeling this happens a bit. Happened to mine with over $1k cash back and had to chase it up, resolved in the end but if you don’t check and follow up, can easily miss a lot.

      • +1

That's exactly what SB are counting on.

  • I needed something from eBay , so this worked well. A random member also got a referral bonus as I wasn't signed up for shopback before today.

    • did your ebay cb track?

  • +2

Thanks OP. Can swapback-purchased ebay gift cards be used as the payment method for this deal?

    • Would love to know this too! Got a bunch of things in my cart

      • +1

@wesman @Doctorbevan I think I've explained this a bit more fully here, but let me know if you're still needing something else clarified :)

    • yes as long as you pay for some of the transaction with a Westpac card.

  • +4

Not worth it since I can't stack with promo codes.

    • Agree. So many eBay Plus coupons now as well.

      • I found when using my eBay Plus coupons, the Westpac portion still tracks. Not sure if it'll ever be approved though.

  • Bought a $240 ALLPOWERS Portable Power Station 200W Solar Generator with 60W Solar Panel Camp + comes with 25000mAh power bank with solar panel charger. 40% off down from $399 (or 45% off if counting the power bank separately).

These items are not eligible for Cashback:

    Items in the Travel category
    Charity and non-profit items
    eBay Plus membership
Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions
Items paid using any type of voucher or eBay credit

  • So just to clarify, I can't use the better SAVE-IN-DEC2023 code for 25% off in conjunction with this cashback?

  • +2

still not tracked from 3 hours ago…

    • +2

      eBay never tracks that quickly

  • just made a purchase… will update on whether or not it tracks because sb is always a gamble for me.

    • update: mine tracked after 7hours

  • +1

My transaction from 11am still not tracked. All other non ebay transactions via shopback since have tracked…. Feeling uneasy. :(

    • eBay never tracks that quickly

    • This promo started at 12pm. It will track but it won't be 10% Cashback?

      • Sorry i meant just after 11am QLD time so that was just after 12pm AEDST

  • Both tracked! Thanks OP

  • Only the regular eBay cashback tracked for me so far. No Westpac tracking yet.

    • Same with me as well

    • Westpac bonus came through this morning

      • Fingers cross for me. Thanks for the update!

  • 2 purchases, regular and Westpac tracking came through at same time

  • Why my cashback was only tracked with $0.80. The Westpac bonus was the correct amount $15.92.
What should I do? The purchase was made at 9am in the morning.

    • the 10% was only from 12pm to 6pm

      • THX. It's my fault. So disappointed.
