    $4 closer to a Tesla

    • +1

Needs around 17,500 more of this sim deals to make the dream come true lol

    • One day it will happen, make OzBargain history.

Well time to get another 5 sims. Thank God for these small profits can afford some basic grocery with this cash back

    • They have to be activated within 30 days of purchase though right?

      • Yes

        • Just wondering why 5 sims

          • +1

            @lars06: $4 x 5 = more profit

            • @Repstar: Is there a cap for purchasing multiple sims?

Buying 5 per day or buying 5 per cashreward deal.

              • @Stoogecake: No cap. Just based on how many separate purchases you can make.

    • Some groceries to look forward to in 3 months time

  • +1

    finally can afford xmas

    • +3

Doesn't work that way. You are actually going broke this Christmas but you can finally afford Easter 24.

  • Does it work for existing boost users?

    • Yes

      • But we still need to get it deliver right? My recharge is due and I was thinking if that will work

        • +5

Poor BG all that work & nobody reads the FAQ.

    'Sorry something wrong"

  • Sorry! Something went wrong 😑

  • If you don't activate sim within 30 days for these cashreward deals, does that mean no cashback?

    • Correct

    • According to some users, it will still process fine through CR. Personally, I wouldn't want to risk it. Just use all the data and burner number for signups, dump it, and repeat within 30 days :)

  • Can we do better you reckon???

  • Sorry something went wrong. Get that on multiple cards.

  • +2

Getting a new simcard means a new phone number, right?
Also it seems wasteful making and selling physical Sim cards just for the virtual data when we can just recharge our current one. They should do deals on recharges.

  • Getting "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message.

    • Weird, after changing some of my details it worked.

      • Which details specifically?

        • +1

Email address (changed to an email I already have for a current Boost account) and credit card. Not sure which one made the difference. But was able to buy 5.

  • With this profit, I am going to buy heavily-discounted Christmas products for use next year.

  • Grabbed 2, now I'll hold out for $5 !

  • -2

    Holding for $5+ :)

  • If activated after 30 days then will I lose any cashback?

    • +1

Well, as stated on the terms and conditions, to be eligible for the cashback, the SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

Other people have reported getting their cashback even after activating beyond the 30 day period, however don't count on that as you're risking your "profit".

  • ORDER COMPLETE
Your order details will be emailed to you shortly.

    • Congratulations.. I haven't seen that for a while now.

      • +1

Your cashback is on its way!

    …. Womp womp 😭

How will I afford [Insert name of expensive item here] now?

Any issues if I buy multiple sims (in same or separate transactions) using the same identification or is it limited to one sim per person?

  • I've bought heaps of these bonus cashback sims in the past 12 months for when we have had friends and family visit from overseas.

Got a few left over from the last deal that weren't needed but now I can't activate them, both online and web chat say they can't verify my ID no matter what ID I use

    "Sorry, something went wrong"

Seems like I've been blacklisted… anyone had luck fixing this?

    • +1

you can activate by calling them or via live web chat

      • Nope, same issue when doing web chat or calling.

  • if I am not after the cashback can I get this sim card deal from a brick and mortar shop?. Auspost is so slow.

    • +1

Woolies have Boost $45 sims for $17 in this weeks cat… Coles and woolies have Boost sim sales every other week… Also check Officeworks..

  • +2

Just confirmed with Boost support the only 3 phone numbers you can hold at the same time maximum. I asked them to remove 1 of them. Vola! I can complete the order without "SOMETHING WENT WRONG".

    • I have around a dozen Boost numbers in my Boost app at the moment, with no issues, purchased more sims today…

People have mentioned in past deals the limit is 35, then you need to get them to remove some..

      • Yea, 35 is the limit (as least for me). Whenever I reach that, I just get the agent on the other line to disconnect all my phone numbers I own so I can activate new ones.. however, haven't been able to purchase more ever since November.. unlucky me!

    • I doubt that this is true. I have seven numbers with Boost which are still "active", and I'm only buying once per month on average.

    • That's what they told me. Judge it yourself……

      • I interpreted your question to be asking what is the maximum number of SIMS that can be purchased in a single order.

      • Never trust the people on the Boost Mobile end. I’ve only one service active with them now (previously 3 numbers active) but I have been stuck on the Something Went Wrong for the last 3 months and counting

        • Yeah, 3 limit is bullsh*t. I have 4 registered to me (me, wife, 2 kids).

I put the “something went wrong” down to a shitty Boost website. The address validation is crap.
I was getting the “something went wrong” message last night, then 2 went through, then error again. I would more likely say it’s something in the payment processing that times out.

          • @braddsey: Agree. Nobody can tell how many SIM you have during purchasing - you don’t give out personal details for validation yet.

    • 3 numbers ? i have 20+

  • Tried to activate one yesterday but got ask to go instore to verify my id.
Have about 6 active services. Bought less then 40 in the pass 2 years.

    • You can activate your sims via live chat.

      • Yes did that, been asked to go in store.

        • That's mad. What store do you have to go to?

          • @AkuroPlays: Well is telstra store. And manage to get it activate 1 now with the third chat person. Still got advice to get into telstra store for id verification.

            • @a1234my: Yikes! That's new.. never heard of that happen. Hopefully all goes well then.

  • I'm holding for a higher profit of $4.20

  • I'll be holding till $5

    • $6 is my minimum these days

  • +1

I wonder if doing this very regularly attracts income tax liability.
