        Sounds like the answer to be more specific is you can't even use gift cards to pay directly for a transaction. The gift cards are just used to top up your Airbnb balance and then the balance gets used as the payment source.

        But in summary, it is still a "yes"

      Sure can, I just loaded up my account… Just need $100 more before booking! The gift cards worked really well… They came through instantly and the credit is in my Airbnb account now.

      There appear to be some exclusions. Each time I negotiate a private price with an AirBnB host the balance is taken from my credit card and not my balance, which is annoying.

        Gift cards can only be used for the initial booking too. If you have already checked in and want to extend your stay you can only use a credit card.

    Does anyone know if it is possible to use gift cards at all for bookings that are already part paid? Would be nice to use these for the remainder of my payments when they’re due. From memory it wasn’t possible previously.

      I feel like I did this last time I booked something.
      If you go into the booking I believe you can trigger a manual payment instead of waiting for the direct debit and you can select your AirBnB balance to pay the remainder of the booking. Might be worth just getting $100 first to confirm I am recalling correctly though.

      As mentioned previously, the gift cards once redeemed just increase your AirBnB account balance. When you cancel, it just goes straight back to your balance

    Does anyone else have "This app is not available for your device" or "This item is not available in your country" when trying to install the app? Have tried on multiple phones where the play store is set to Australia.
