  • Thanks OP!!!

  • Great find. Bought nine of the $10 ones

  • Well bought some shoe boxes. Thanks for that

  • Are the shoe boxes to display expensive shoe or just shoe storage in general. If it is just shoe storage wouldn't your shoes not 'breathe' after been worn and therefore smell etc

    • +1

There are few gaps on the side for the shoes to breath atleast by zooming in the photo. This are handy because you can stack them on top and also are clear so you can choose which shoes to wear.

    • You can use shoe trees to help with moisture and maintain the shape of the shoes.

    • pro tip. lightly dusting your feet in talcum powder after a washing and drying will stop your feet from sweating and creating a breading ground for bacteria, which will stop your shoes from becoming smelly.

just dont go nuts where you can inhale talcum powder, its carcinogenic if inhaled.

      • +3

It's very very fine and floats. If you're using it you're inhaling it. Only way to avoid inhalation is with a respirator or not using it. Also asbestos… https://www.asbestos.com/products/talcum-powder/

        • indeed. P2 mask recommended

        • +2

          Thanks for that.

I didn't realise my parents were trying to kill me slowly as a baby by giving me talc powder directly to the nuts and thighs.

        • Omg after years of army and hiking i never knew my sacred talcum powder was going to kill me

      • or just wear socks and dry your shoes out after each use

        • There are people that don't wear socks?
Where does one find these odd sockless creatures? I would pay to see them in their natural habitat

      • +1

Breading? is that like the breading on a chicken parmy?

        • -1

          *parma

    • I'd be more concerned about air getting in leading to dampness / mold.

I currently wrap my hikers, etc. in bags after I've dried them well, before putting them back on the shelf in the garage. Sometimes I'll add a silica gel pack too. A sealed box IMO would be better, or perhaps an option (flap) to select.

  • $110 delivery T_T WA

    • +3

I did click and collect in Northbridge

  • Any idea on the height of the collapsible side door? says 100mm but I'm guessing that's collapsed. Presume it must be similar to the white 46l box at 250-300mm. Good deal! now just got to think of what I can use them for.

  • wow that's amazing thank you pretty sure I bought the same sneaker boxes from a 'sneaker' website @$16

  • Thanks Op!

The shoe boxes would have been great and look like they're better quality than what I've seen on Amazon, BigW etc. but unfortunately look to be out of stock for me.

    OOS in Sydney?

  • +2

Place all your mobile devices in there during dinner or family time.

  • +3

Yep, the Queen Shoe Box Front Opening Premium Magnetic Clear 18L looks to be out of stock everywhere.

  • Speaking of shoe boxes… The ones at Kmart seem pretty good with holes to breathe. $60 for 10. If they ever go back in stock ie. But the Kmart ones are not as tall. They do have the taller ones (with no holes) for $12 each though.

    didn't shakespear say something like.

"I buy my shoe, which comes in a box. I throwaway that box. only to buy another plastic box to put my shoe inside."

    • +5

      Nuh. He said:

In a box my shoe did dwell, a snug abode, so fine,
Cast aside that cardboard shell, for plastic's sheen to shine.
Alas! A new box bought with glee, for the shoe's lone parade,
Oh, the humour of humanity, in this box-swapping charade!

      • +2

        lol I appreciate the effort.

I'll pass your kind words on to ChatGPT. ๐Ÿ™‚

          • +1

@seamonkey: yeah hows that going for you??

I have never used it. I mean ever.

            • @harshbdmmaster718: It's absolutely wonderful at some things
              Terrible at others
Good enough to normally stick with a Pro membership. I mainly use it for translation purposes as many of my friends/family reside overseas and English is their 2nd language. I feel it does a better job than other options such as Google Translate.

It's good for some fun at times, things like competitions, I do things like riddles and things for my kids like custom colouring book pages for print.

I always enjoy trying to extract fun data out of it that possibly is the kind of stuff the masses may not consider super common. data within data within data.

Grammar, spelling, ideas, trivia, it's far from perfect but I'm very interested in following were it goes tomorrow. I like watching Matt Wolfe on YouTube, find his videos succinct and a somewhat fascinating summary of what's happen in AI this week. He also runs an interesting website.

              ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for listening

              • @seamonkey: hmm I know it's been described as useful but from your description it does kinda sound like just a "much better voice assistant".

"I always enjoy trying to extract fun data out of it that possibly is the kind of stuff the masses may not consider super common. data within data within data." this sounds the most interesting to me.

I dunno maybe my expectations are too high. I will probably wait a bit more before jumping onboard. of course hopefully I will be able to join when it's a "new" AI and it's completely free for early adopters. thanks for sharing your uses though.

My shoes are quite happy in the carport, accompanied by spiders and cat fur.

    • +2

I wear my shoes and the soles wear out quicker than mold has the chance to grow on them so I use the included cardboard box for other items.

I sometimes buy a pair or two ahead of time because they are on sale. but then the included box is fine to keep them in. I have a pair now sitting for a year in the included box (with the paper stuffing etc still inside shoe) and they do just fine. no mold no issues at all. I have done this multiple times.

I think these "clear" boxes are for collectors. but then if you are wealthy enough to spend $10000s on limited edition shoes.. why are you buying $5 plastic boxes to keep them in?? (gone broke from shoe collection?) you would buy some kind of professional made glass cabinet that can hold 100 shoes on the wall.

      • Making the working class feel rich :)

      • +1

Lots of Youtube bedroom collectors still use these style of display boxes though.. ๐Ÿ˜…

  • Can't check out in WA due to no stock on the 46L :(

  • For dudes to put their dunks in. My Mrs doesnโ€™t even put her jimmy choos in a plastic box ๐Ÿ˜‚

    • You wouldn't put dunks in these. More like Jordans n AF1s

  • You guys wear shoes?

  • Back in stock

  • Ordered 26/12 5.30pm. Just got a cancellation email. OOS.
