Celebrate New Year's Eve with FREE travel on Adelaide Metro buses, trains, and trams from 5:00 pm on Sunday 31 December 2023, until 6:00 am on Monday 1 January 2024.

Adelaide Metro will get you there and back home safe this New Year's Eve. Whether you’re off to Glenelg, Brighton, or Semaphore for seafront fireworks, or heading into the city to welcome the new year with fireworks over the River Torrens footbridge, Adelaide Metro has you covered.

Enjoy FREE travel on all Adelaide Metro bus, train, and tram services in Adelaide and the surrounding regions during the specified period.
No need for a metroCARD, MetroTicket or Tap and Pay during the free travel period.

FREE travel is available all day on Sunday 31 December 2023, for ticket holders attending the NYE Big Bash League match at Adelaide Oval.
The Adelaide Metro InfoLine 1300 311 108 is open from 7:00 am on New Year's Eve until 8:00 pm on New Year's Day.

Regular fare Adelaide Metro services will resume from the first service on Monday 1 January 2024.

  I guess it's a little relative. If planned well, you may in fact find it a lot more convenient to travel on a public transport than driving their own car to the CBD , (on a NYE) particularly if you live somewhere closer to the O bahn or near any of the Train stations etc.

  No traffic, no lights, no need to worry about finding a parking near CBD etc..We live next to an obahn stop and we just love it :)..
