Bought 30's for 150 recently. Not much of a deal here

    • +1

How did you get 30’s for $150?

    • Would love to know too

    • Yeh i got my 27s for this price in 2021. Definately pass unless you love this revision for some reason. The midsole is supposed to wear out slightly quicker on the 27s so I would not recommend regardless.

  • Anyone have the issue where your toe wears through the mesh upper on these?

    • Means you’re wearing 1 size too small usually

    • +1 I have this (and on a pair of GT-1000 for my kid). Annoying, as the rest of the shoe has held up perfectly well. Size isn't wrong.

  • why these are popular I will never know…

    • +1

You might know after you buy them?

      • still dont.

        • Run in them?

    • It's because of the arch support that comes built into the shoe as such a high percentage of people (and runners) with flat feet tend to overpronate. Most people don't go to a podiatrist to get corrective Insoles or strengthen the foot muscles so a good out of the box solution is the asics higher end series like Kayano of GT-2000s etc. Most people don't even add off the shelf arch support which can make most shoes more supportive of the medial arch and get the weight redistributed to the rest of the foot. They will just put on a shoe and realise it's much more comfortable or do the instant weight distribution scan at athletes foot which will immediately point them towards RRP $280ish Kayano type footwear. There's certainly other brands doing it too, Asics has just been around a long time.

  • do you ever stock 2E width for Kayanos?
