Lubluelu SD80 Auto-empty Station for SL60D & SL61 Robot Vacuum $156 (RRP $194.99) + Free Delivery @ Lubluelu

200
20OFFSD80

Not as cheap as the Black Friday low of $136.50 but if you've been looking for a docking station for your lubluelu robot vacuum here it is.

It uses disposable bags that look like this
From my research these look exactly like the Viomi S9 bags. I've ordered some to confirm if this is true.

Make sure you select the AU variant.

  • Keen to know how you get on with the bags

They're the same as every other one in 99% of auto empty docks. I'm using generics in my Ecovacs and empty the bags myself and get wayyyyyy longer life out of them. Like 3 in a year.

      • Thanks for that.

      • What do you mean by empty the bags yourself? Like just tip them into the bin and put them back in the dock?

  • Did they include water cleaning bottle?

$159 fromt their eBay store, extra $10 off if you have code.

    • No I don't believe lubluelu have a dock that does auto-water refill.

    • I bought that one, would have posted but the listing said "almost gone". I couldn't get the code either 😒 oh well, either way we are so stoked with how well "Niles" works and keeps our timber floors spotless.

  • Wonder if it will work with Kogan LX16 which is pretty much rebranded SL60D.
Wish Kogan sold the dock separately.

    • Not sure i would like to find out as well.
I did see the entire thing for$369
      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-smarthome-lx16-robot-vacu…
Can sign up and then cancel was thinking of getting this instead as there is no white dock but not sure what the key differences are if any.

$369 for both vacuum and docking station is a deal on it's own. I think I paid $299 just of the vacuum. And I don't think there is much difference (if any) between the Kogan and SL60D.

For those who want to extend the life of a dust bag you can do a hack by cutting an opening to empty it out and use a bag clip or sew some velcro on to keep it closed https://imgur.com/a/vFPnl7P

We received the SD80 last week. It was on back-order.

All in all happy with SD60/ SD80 kit. It's probably the first time in 25 years that the purchase of a vacuum cleaner hasn't disappointed.

Although the price of the Lubluelu consumables will need a bit of Ozbargaining.

  • Looking at getting my first robot vacuum and this brand seems decent…
question - how useful is this auto empty station or more importantly can this help with operating remotely if I try to have it run when I’m away from home (I’m assuming it will automatically go to this auto empty station (similar to battery charger) and continue cleaning from where it left after emptying?)…

    • +1

The auto emptying station works well.

The robot can get caught up in stuff. Floors should be free of loose cables etc.. Troublesome areas can be defined as "no go".

I've had discussions with the LuBlueLu team about the "continue cleaning" option. They say if the battery goes low during cleaning the robot should go for recharge and resume cleaning. In my experience this function is not working. Although it returns for charging it does not resume cleaning. I've been told that they are working to overcome that.

All that said, we have large (250m2) house, federation style. Once the house was mapped I set timers for different stages of cleaning. It works reliably.

      • Thanks,
I’l read the auto battery charging works fine (meaning resumes where it stopped) but surprised this isn’t the case. I have two levels so I should still
        Be ok I reckon.
        Can you please tell:
        - how long it runs on a single charge roughly
        - so do you like stack the auto empty on top of the charger so it’s all in one place or do they need to kept separate?

        • Yesterday it did a heavy clean of a room 20m2. Basically it does the edges, then goes in one direction and then the other. It took 30 minutes and used 50% of the battery.

The hallway down the middle of our house, 15m x 1.8m, carpeted, on a single sweep (one direction) consumes ~25% of the battery,

The robot parks in the auto empty station. Takes up about 60cm X 35cm.

      • Continue cleaning works for me. At 15% battery it goes back to recharge and then in the app it says it will continue to clean where it left off when it reaches 80% battery.
Only thing I wish it did was to auto empty the bin when it goes back to recharge. It only empties at the end of the full cleaning. If the dust bin on the robot overfills then it has trouble auto emptying.

        • Definitely not working for me. BTW, ours goes to recharge at 10% battery.

No matter, I can work around it,

  • Anyone gone for a lublu combo to or instead of a roborock q revo/similar $1k+ models?

    • Wondering too, just not sure how long these will last at that combo price working out to approx 420..
Or is it worthwhile chipping some more and getting a decent one for maybe 500-600 (not sure what’s available at this range)

I'm going to wait as I want the auto refill & clean station for the mop

Grabbed one, the Lubluelu is the best vacuum that I've used so far. Had a few different brands and so far so good.

    • Do you have the station or just the cleaner? Just wondering is it necessary to have the station to do auto clean?

      • It won't empty without the station, but I have just the robot and it's set up on a schedule to clean every weekday at 2pm.

        • It won't empty without the station

So just empty it manually like the dyson, right?

          • @superforever: Yeah, just pull out the cartridge in the back and empty into the bin.

      • Just the vacuum, just ordered the station. Station isn't needed at all for it to function. I run mine twice a day due to having a dog and it fills the vacuum pretty quick. The station will be good when I'm away for work. Othwose I wouldn't need it.

        • Station isn't needed at all for it to function.

Thanks, no dog or pets, I may not need the station to start with, without the station will it goes back home automatically and charge itself? Really new to this kind of robot things.

          • +1

@superforever: Yeah, goes back by itself to charge. You definitely don't need the station.

      • The station is more of an added convenience rather than a necessity. I just vacuum the dust bin out with my dyson. My only gripe with it is the dust bin is so small, it fills up pretty quickly though they have a larger bin for sale for around $30.

        • +1

Do you have a link for the larger bin?

  • prefer a mop n vac full house of tiles with a husky can anyone recommend a good pet robo vac and self empty
    budget 500

    • I think we are looking at 1k for this

  • thanks impoze ive seen deals for the deebot t9 & t8 plus and dream 10 would love anyones experince both currently 50% off

  • +1

Hey lads I attempted to return mine so I could get the extra large dust bin for $30.40 delivered, ignored the first reply and then they offered a $60 refund (accepted & in my account within 12hr) and I keep the device, effectively making it $99 delivered. Might be worth trying. My reason for refund was "bought wrong item", note that they were able to see that I had previously bought an SL60D…

    • will give it a go once they restock.
