Agreed. No one who posts these predictions is even doing their own research, just reposting rumours. Also, you can't downvote these "deals" or the mods will delete your comments and take away your downvote ability.
You're confusing downvote vs reporting. Down vote is specifically meant to tell other users that the site is dodgy or the item is dodgy. Reporting is used for these kind of "bargains" where there's no actual bargain.
Its not about reporting, its negative vote casting. This is the message you get:

There's a bit of weird mental gymnastics going on here to say "your reason for negative vote is invalid so we're censoring your reasoning".
@yewman: If you have a read in the voting guidelines, it's very clear the purpose of negative votes. 1. The deal is not the cheapest available, 2&3. Issue with product or Retailer.
You negged because predictions aren't deals. Is there a problem with the game? No. Is there a problem with Epic Games? No.Is it not the cheapest available? No. Nothing to do with censoring.

It doesn't entirely make sense to me, there's a list of valid reasons to neg. There's a list of invalid reasons that WILL get your neg revoked, but if your reason isn't on either list it should stay based on my reading.
'Predictions aren't deals' isn't on the invalid list so they shouldn't be getting revoked by mods
@yewman: Downvoting on this site has been really weird for a while.
Mods used to crack down super hard to the letter of the rules up until ~2021, then pivoted very hard into allowing users to use it more like a reddit (i.e. general disagreements). Seems they're pivoting again, but only for specific deals by specific posters.

If it has i hadn't got it from Epic Games. I did get it for free through GOG (via Amazon Prime Gaming) though ages ago. But i can't remember it being given for free on Epic Games. And i've been getting the free games off Epic Games for years now. I believe this may be the first time for free on Epic Games. That's if this is indeed true and not ending up a false prediction.

I predict that NYE 2024 will have free public transport, after the next natural disaster all the mobile telcos will offer free calls to the impacted country and that new movies and series will be added to streaming services. And I'll be right far more often than these predictions…
And that all of those will get posted as deals - but only once confirmed.
Wouldn’t it be better to post the deal for the day they’re meant to be available? Not trying to nag or downvote is just it would be easier to see the deal and claim it..

Tbh this game sucks. They made the controls unnecessarily difficult/weird. Anybody who says git gud is so busy trying to look cool they can't critique it rationally. For me though, I simply moved on to better games
