  its a horrid deal anyway, you get a cake the size of a single person serving.

    The wine, in Perth, would be charged at a minimum $8 a glass, so even though the single serve cake may seem a bit poor, there is some value if you are going to eat there anyway.

    I've used this deal at The Crown in Melbourne @ Number 8.
    The cake was huge and not some nasty sponge with a bit of icing.
    Got to box half of it to take home.

    Crown Signature Club members can enjoy a complimentary birthday cake and a glass of bubbly for each guest when you book your birthday lunch or dinner at selected Crown restaurants. (Melbourne)

    Pretty sure its free to sign up as a Signature Club member as well.

  Just say its someone's birthday every time you book…they've had this for ages. Problem is by the time the small square chocolate cake comes out at the end everyone is already so full from all the good buffet food that no one wants to eat the cake :P
