Register & Get a $100 Evoucher ($200 until 5AM 21/1) for Use on Accessories with Upcoming Galaxy Devices @ Samsung Australia

3260
GALAXYAI

Supposedly the S24 is being annouced on Jan 18.

Fill in the form and if you completed all details, your $100 eVoucher will be sent to your nominated email address.
The code has been revealed and it is generic, making the signup process now redundant (unless you still want marketing emails).

The eVoucher is for $100, but if you use it within the pre-order window, it becomes a $200 voucher. eVoucher is redeemable on selected Galaxy tablets, watches, buds and accessories, however, I believe you must buy an S24 series phone in the same transaction.

Your eVoucher is available for only the first 72 hours of pre-order starting 5:00AM AEDT 18th January and ending 5:00AM AEDT 21st January 2024.
Don't worry, if you don't use your voucher in the first 72 hours of pre-order, your eVoucher will revert to $100 value.

But the best prices come from stacking samsung discounts and you wont be able to claim these against say the 28deg card since it's not a simple price cut.

Eg. The fold 5 for ~$1200 - no way you can claim price protection that since the discounts were from trade in, app only discounts and bundle discounts.

      • I think he is trying to say he would rather pay more, and have Samsung care free, then claim all the price drops as price inevitably drops over 12 months

        • This!

        • Ironically, the cheapest prices for samsung devices are during release. Lowest prices have only been achieved when stars align and 3-4 discounts stack on one of the samsung stores.

Ive got a 28 degrees with the grandfathered price protect and ive never had the opportunity to claim back on stuff, theyve just been way cheaper with broken discount stacking.

      • -3

        Not necessarily.

If you bought a device that was , say , $2000
but stacked a bunch of discounts, such that it was paid $1200 on 28 Degrees card, and $800 on coupon discounts (trade in, newsletter discount, etc) you can still claim a price protection.

Lets say the device dropped half price later on down the track to $1k. It means you would claim 50% of the $1200 you paid so that the refund becomes $600 (meaning you effectively paid $600 ; so all your $800 worth of discounts has been reduced to be worth $400) .

If something was bundled - it would make it difficult. As long as the invoice had itemised pricing you should still be able to claim the difference.

        • What?

28 degrees price protect is the difference between purchase price and the lower price. You pay 1200 and it goes on sale for 1000 then you claim 200 back

          Some exclusions:
          - offered as part of a special deal involving other items or benefits
          - due to corporate discounts, non-public or club membership
discounts, or group offers (eliminates epp/student portals)

          • @krisspy: It is if its as simple a scenario as that (ie price is 1200, you pay 1200 then it goes on sale to 1000)

But if you're using other discount codes like you mentioned, then all of that plays a role in calculating how much you can claim back. In that example, if the original price is a 2000 but you paid 1200 (plus 800 worth it discount codes) , and it drops to 1000 - you don't claim 200. You claim 50% of what you paid.

            • @SmiTTy: The original price has nothing to do with it, it literally says purchase price on the pds doesnt matter how much discounts you applied, they look at how much is charged on your card.

Then you copy past the ozbargain post to try and explain to the bank how a phone is magically 60% off rrp using stacking dicounts. Yeah good luck with that

              • -1

                @krisspy: Wrong.

Your purchase price is the $2k in the example above. You just used discount codes to bring it down so your cash component you pay is 1200. This matters.

I don't need to show them the ozbargain page. It's literally on your invoice.

The pds literally has a section on exactly this called Proportionate benefit. Have a better read.

The way it ACTUALLY works gives you a better outcome because you can still claim a benefit if the device drops below 2k (even above 1.2k).

                • -1

@SmiTTy: That has nothing to do with it.

Proportional benefit is the amount of refund theyll give you based on how much was paid using the card, comment you linked explains this..did you even read it. If you only paid for 50% of the purchase using the card (ie. You used cash/gc to pay the other half) then you're only eligible for 50% of the rebate on the purchase price minus the "lower price". Its common sense, why would they give you a benefit if you aren't using the card.

Purchase price isnt 2k, its $1200 or whatever the discounted price was, thats how much was charged on your card. Purchase price not RRP.

If price protection worked the way you think it does then everyone and their mothers on ozb would be abusing this by now

    • I bought my S22 using my Coles price protection card which would have been nice to claim the price drop over 2 years, however, the insane deal i got via samsung edu + coupons + trade in etc was far better than anything i could have got with price protection.

So keep an eye out for good deals.

      • I bought my S22 using my Coles price protection card which would have been nice to claim the price drop over 2 years,

Are you saying they provide price protection for two years? Which idiot design offers like that?

        • +1

Yep, if i recall the two cards that offered price protection were 28degrees and coles (both offered by latitude).

          28D - 12months any retailer.
Coles - 24months same retailer you purchased from.

But i'm happy with Coles as it's fee free and i've made back over $2k at this point in price protection.

  • Did you guys get an email after registering? I haven't had anything come through yet.

    • +1

Same.. registered but didnt get any email

      • same. when we will get the code? actually funny after i registered my email few mins later i got this promo email about register and get $200

    • got mine 13 minutes ago. It took a couple of hours

  • I'm getting "invalid email" regardless of what email I use.

    • Just check if you are not typing a space at the end of the email address.

      • Nope. No spaces. Maybe it's just not working in mobile chrome

    • Same issue.
      Invalid email.

      • as usual. once something goes into ozb… sold out

  • Don't forget can usually stack Samsung phone purchases with https://coupons.nine.com.au/samsung for additional $25 / $50 vouchers

    • Did u really get H&M vouchers? How long approx? I did try to register a couple different email (that met the amount purchased afterwards), back in early Oct…never got anything until now

My S20+ is getting a bit long in the tooth and stuttering a bit. The battery is also finally starting to fade so will probably pay the new phone launch premium, hopefully there's some decent deals about.

  • Received code a few minutes ago. Seems VERY generic, 8 letters, forming a word and something else….

  • +12

    Code is GALAXYAI

  • Oh… it is a generic code. Disappointed.

    • +1

      It's always generic for unpacked

  • Generic code.

Where's our $800 trade in bonus Samsung? Looks like no upgrade for me this this year.

    • On the day, that's not advertised in advance. In previous years it used to be free Samsung care+, this time seems to be a flat $200

      • It's a crappy deal. The $200 is only for accesories. You have to buy a S24 to be able to use the $200 accessory voucher. Pretty lame.

        • I have always been able to sell the accessories on marketplace. So doesn't bother me tbh.

But the day will tell if there are any stackable discounts.

  • -1

That s24 is going to be so overpriced

    • +1

Not according to leaks…. Its going to be same as S23 series price. Only time will tell.

May be less discount this time though. I am expecting the double storage offer, trade in bonus at $500, a $100 / 10% discount code, some free accessories (likely bud 2 again), free / 50% off Samsung care, 10% off from App and this code. If all these materialise that it is a good deal.

      • -1

Thank you. Might try to get the discounts on trade in and sell my old phone on facebook😉.

Samsung need to bring back micro sd storage to their phones

    • -2

People need to move with time and use cloud… if not back up on your PC.

      • Definitely FACT, not just true‼️.. No one uses microSD cards anymore. They're being phased out. Don't know why they don't just back things up on their PC or tablets.

Samsung coupon code is a competitive sport on OzBargain.

Was a Samsung note person for ages and now switched to an Oppo find X5 pro

I miss the S Pen but the Oppo has taken a beating and a generally better built phone and better charging. Camera is awesome.

Prefer the openess to google use apps like BubbleUpnP and flud to sail the high seas and cast movies whilst travelling.

Open minded about the Mrs phone. I wish Huawei had native Google Play store support. The p30 pro was a top phone as was the mate 20

    • -3

Got a better option for you, go to China and stay there. Their plane ticket , Visa, Hotel…. everything is on sale now.

You can use all the "nice" feature or Oppo and Huawei as long as you want….

  • +1

Great. I'm waiting to upgrade my S21. I might trade in aswell.

You think other codes will stack like before? New customer? Chat customer service code?

  • If anyone comes across any really good trade in deals like the one where you got $500 off new Galaxy fold Z at JBHiFi i would love one. Thanks in advance. (Im sure it will get posted on Oz bargain anyway but i missed the last one, i want a new GALAXY Note model really anyway…). Cheers

    • Aim for the S24 Ultra then

  • Might finally be time to trade in the S20 FE if the math stacks up. I have access to a corporate discount through work, so it'll remain to be seen if there's any discount to be had there, and then if any codes or trade ins stack with that.

  • Does anyone know if you use the voucher on the Samsung Education store?

    • Nope

  • What would you get for a s23 ultra512? Just got a few mi the ago, but I heard people got a good deal on the s23 ultra last year.

Also side note, the new app user discount is down to 5%, and no more headphones trade in

  • "eVoucher is redeemable on selected Galaxy tablets, watches, buds and accessories, however, I believe you must buy an S24 series phone in the same transaction."

How can it be described as redeemable on any of them if you have to buy a $1500 phone in the same transaction? If the phone is compulsory then the voucher is logically only redeemable on the phone - it's irrelevant what else you have in the basket.

  • got an email from samsung for bonus $200 trade in code. Not sure if its related to signing up to this.

    • It's seperate, got mine too. It's a unique code for bonus $200

      • would it be stackable?

        • Tomorrow will tell

Samsung Newbie : I'm looking for a new phone. S23 or S24 is on my list ( I'm an Oppo fan boy in the past but I like the Samsung DeX desktop feature) .
I don't have a device on the samsung trade-in list . Is it worth actually buying a used device off marketplace etc to get the trade in discount or just not worth the hassle?. I assume it has to be fully working? I also understand even if the trade in value is only $5 , you still get the $250 trade in bonus on top? Is that how it works?
    thanks !

    • +1

Just check whoever you buy it from hasnt already tried to trade it in and not sent it back. If they have, you wont be able to trade it it.

  • if i pre-orde with the good guys do i still get this voucher?

    • No, has to be Samsung.com.au

  • This voucher has reached its limit now

  • Looks like expired: Redemption limit of this voucher has been reached – please use another voucher.

    • Code still worked just now so maybe something you are doing.
Some things have sold out now though so may have to add some accessories you dont want or need to get to $350.

      • GALAXYAI works if you add the right $amount of addons

  • Anyone tried this code with redeeming points? not working for me

  • Redemption limit of this voucher has been reached – please use another voucher.

Is this happening to anyone else trying to apply the GALAXYAI code?

Note, I have already used the code previously to purchase my wife's Galaxy S24+ and accessories… using the same account to try purchase the S24 Ultra for my cousin. Is the code a once use per account?
