  • damn shame its pick up only….

    excellent price…

    I gave a +

$3 is a great price but they are not worth $69.95, not even from electrical outlets, here is an example,

      Different product….
I'm sure it would work the same, but there might be circumstances where a 90 degree exit point would be better.

(That's not to say they are worth $70)

      • I don't get or cant't see the 90 part of it the other product linked above looks the same to me.. or is the 90deg exit on the back of the plate?

        • Yep… One has a short run of cable at the back… The other is a direct connection. I assume this one avoids bending any cables….. If that's important….

  • is this likely to still be available Monday, can't get there before then?

Is this gold plated? For $69.95, I want it gold plated!

    • +1

For $69.95, I want it solid gold!

Is this gold plated? For $69.95, I want it gold plated!

I'm wondering what your neg is trying to tell us about the product or the retailer?

I would assume it isn't gold plated, as that would probably have been stated in the description.

You aren't paying $69… you are paying $3.

Maybe you're negging because you believe the RRP is high…… That may well be, but is hardly relevant to this deal. Surely we all know that RRP's are of little consequence.

Maybe you're negging because you think $3 is too high…… show us where you've seen them cheaper.

The neg vote is meant to be informative….. yours currently isn't

In case anyone out there starts thinking they need gold plated HDMI cables/connections
Gold plating doesn't provide any better signal for HDMI

HDMI is data.. not frequency.. so there is no benefit.

      • It's not because it has higher price for better signal, it's because it has gold!
        just joke.

Why All HDMI Cables are the Same, $100 gold plaaaatted or $3 HDMI cable shipped:
        http://www.cnet.com.au/why-all-hdmi-cables-are-the-same-3393…

      • +1

FYI the purpose of gold plated connectors for digital cables (HDMI, USB etc) is to strengthen the connector and prevent corrosion, not to improve the signal.

        • Yes.. Because Gold is the strongest metal… :/

        • no just doesn't really corrode…so has better connectivity.

  • Seriously over inflated RRP unless this comes with a Monster plug.

I want to neg this for stating such a inflated RRP in the title

    • unless you are a fan of receiving people's neg :)

    Was 'cheaper' here…. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75749

I assume the $3 today is to cover postage….

*Edit…. ahh, of course… it's for pick up only!!

Who knows what the $3 is for then…

  • +3

For crying out loud, it's $3. It's an insane bargain (cheapest on ebay is > $25 shipped).

  • A good deal.
Still, it's annoying that we have to send video and audio data over HDMI rather than ethernet!

      tried DLNA/AirPlay?

I don't want to be troll but anyone tell me how the RRP 69.95 comes? It's $0.6 each in China. And the RRP is 116 times of that? Maybe Apple should stop making iPhone but this. Mods please remove this RRP from the title.

I don't want to be troll

Some might think that adding an invalid neg would appear to contradict that statement….

    • +4

mentions of RRP have been removed. so if that was your only issue… how about you remove your neg?

      • -1

Dont worry people will vote using their money and I do think $3 is a bargain.
Negs can only be removed by Mods.

        • You've been a member of this site for nearly three years and you don't know you can remove your own negative vote?

  • Im always of two minds on these things.

I know what they cost to make\import.
But I know what people NORMALLY pay for them.

exceptionally Bad price if you can read chinese and order yourself away from ebay etc.
Exceptionally good price if you want to buy from an english store.

Im just not gonna vote, its a middle ground for me.

The RRP is an irrelevance in this day and age……. how it stacks up against the competition is much more important.

If shop A doesn't give an RRP and sells something for $20 and shop B claims an RRP of $60 yet sells it for $10…. I know which I'm going to use….

      • +1

RRP is still very important to the likes of Groupon ads and carpet warehouses. They can proudly advertise 80% off while keeping a healthy profit due to inflated RRPs. It makes for eye catching TV ads and Groupon 'bargains'.

If only your store was in Brisbane :(

    • Try contacting AussieHiFi, and tell them what this store is offering.

I dont think they'll quite match it, but they'll give you a damn bargain on things like this. They're all about customer service.

      Gotta love competition.

  • Got two from them yesterday, looks good for me.thx
