    No Perth :(

      no Adelaide either

      • +4

Basically like The Fork with 5 restaurants to use Yums LOL.

      • Brisbane only has one option… luckily, I like Turkish food.

        • +3

But around 6 at the Gold Coast

"Offer is valid for a minimum of 2 to 6 persons dining and subjected to participating restaurants’ Terms and Conditions"

  • +4

Very limited availability - see like 5 restaurants in Sydney, one of which is only allowing for Fri lunchtime bookings.

Some of the others are also always available discounted at places like The Fork too

  • +1

Not even worth bothering with for me as nothing nearby in Melbourne. Even more limited than using The Fork Yums which I didn't think was possible

    • Melbourne has lost its superior edge. I like it better now without the chip on its shoulder

Anything in Bangkok? Tho I am traveling alone in May LOL

    • +3

      Many restaurants in Bangkok:
      https://www.onedinesfree.com/#/home?program=Mastercard_OneDi…

Maybe find a partner in Bangkok and offer to go 50-50%!

      • +2

Debit MC work? Yeah I spose if I meet some people, I can offer to go 50/50!~

        • +1

Yes, any Mastercard should work, debit or credit. As long as the restaurant staff can see it's a Mastercard!

    • Lots on Bangkok. Way more than in Melbourne.

There's even one in Chon Buri!

  • While here, anyone know The Fork value of Yums in Thailand? Aka 2000 Yums = $50 AUD, but in Europe it was 50 EURO.

    • +3

The Fork does not have much presence in many Asia-Pacific countries such as Thailand. It's a very "Western Country"-only platform

    • 50 Thai Baht

I usually take these deals and use what i saved to tip the wait staffs in vietnam, they work damn hard for little pay. Citibank have alot of deal around asia too (was anyway.. before they sold out)

    • +1

Now my Citibank has turned into NAB(Visa to Mastercard)

      • Yeah my Debit turn to NAB, i like it better now it have eftpos on apple pay. The credit card is still with citi, wondering what they going to do with that.

Booked for auckland travel soon thx!

Thanks OP! Currently in Da Nang, dinner sorted!

  • Some restaurants have a minimum of 4 or 5 persons. The one in Darling harbour for example.

  • +2

Looking at the terms and condition, it seems like you can use this as many times as you want? One offer per visit?

"There is no restriction on the number of visits by a cardholder to the restaurant during the offer period and for each visit, the cardholder will be able to enjoy the offer once."

    • +1

Yes, you can use this as many times as you want during the offer period.

    From the FAQ:

    Q. What is Mastercard One Dine Free program?
As a Mastercard cardholder, one (1) person get to dine for free with a minimum of
two (2) persons dining per table. The main course of the least value will be considered
as complimentary at redemption upon paying with a Mastercard branded card.

    Example:
    • Four diners ordered three (3) Main Courses, no offer will apply.
    • Four diners ordered (4) Main Courses, offer will apply.

Which does not make sense at all.

    • +3

It does make sense as they want each person sitting at the table to order a meal.

If not 4 people will go, order 3 meals and expect to pay for 2.

      • -2

Well, no, because more examples in the T&C make it clearer:

        • Example B: 6 persons ordered 6 main courses; the cardholder shall pay for 5 main courses.

So only one free course for a minimum 2 people, which makes it not a deal for a group of more than 2 people.

        • +1

Well, no, because more examples in the T&C make it clearer:

          It already is clear.

So only one free course for a minimum 2 people

Yes that's what the deal is, provided that each person orders a main meal and you have less than 7 people at the table

          It's even in the T&C's

Cardholders and their guests must order one (1) main course each to enjoy the offer.

  • The restaurants available in Tokyo/Kyoto seem to only offer an additional “complimentary” course as part of a set menu. So I’d assume if I went with 2 people, I’d still have to order and pay for 2 full set menus for both of us… not really a deal :(

  • One of the Melbourne options is actually in Sydney

  • why is the website so bad…. can't book anything

edit: nvm had to go into incog

  • How to book? There is no book button

  • Prepare for awkward conversations with staff who have no idea about the deal when paying for bill

  • -1

    Not worth it.
None in Geelong and only a small number in Melbourne.

    • also most of places listed, you can get offers from fork/eatclub etc.

      • -1

        I agree with your comments.
Not sure of the reason why both of our comments were negged.
I gave your comment a like.

  • Has anyone tried using a Mastercard not issued in Asia Pacific? I'm just wondering if there's any checking at the restaurant somehow, because I wouldn't usually take my (usually useless) Commonwealth MC on trips with me.

  • How do you book a table thru their site? I can't figure it out,

  • Booked a table, went there and ate. Didnt get anything off the reciept. Paid full price. Anyone know how this is supposed to work?

    • Did you inform the restaurant that you were dining under this promo when you arrive as per the terms and conditions? This isn't a cashback program; the restaurant will award you the free meal on the spot when you pay but do need to be informed that you are participating in this Mastercard promo when you arrive.

      https://www.diningcity.sg/en/pages/mastercard_terms_and_cond…

Reservation and offer needs to be communicated to the participating restaurant at the time of arrival and offer is valid for all Mastercard cardholders issued in Asia Pacific.

      • Ended up emailing their support address. The restaurant got in touch with me and refunded me the main meal cost into my account. Was good customer service all round. Happy now 😊

  • There is only one restaurant in Brisbane. Booked it but they cancelled it 20 minutes before the booking time (through an email) mentioning:
"We regret to inform you that we have just received a notice from Ahmet's restaurant that they are unable to continue with the Mastercard's One Dines Free Program."

So disappointed and ended up a restaurant nearby in EatClub!

  • How does the booking work? I have logged in, click any restaurants in Ho Chi Minh but can’t seem to be able to book through the site
