Positively-rated lock; tops several top 10 lists for those looking for a fingerprint smart lock.

Has some battery flaws, as far as I can tell.

This is the bluetooth version without Wi-fi bridge, which apparently has better battery life.

Price seems good.

what is that? mine is okay (wifi model bought for $195 whatttt so expensive :(
    - but i disconnect from wifi and uses bt only anyway, to save battery i heard)

    • Can i ask if you have any issues with the localisation of the app? I have a Yale one I bought from amazon and it only works if I get the US Yale access app… in australia Assa Abloy owns rights and has their own server and doesnt work with US Yale hardware.

  • This looks perfect. I don’t care about wifi. Fingerprint and phone proximity unlock look great.
How good do these really work?

  • Our door has a deadbolt lock like this. https://imgur.com/PrLyTyX

It looks like OP's lock would require some alternation to our door.
Is there any type of smartlock that could easily be fit in our door?
    Thanks.

  • I have 2 of the wifi models. Aside from the wifi dropping out from time to time no issues. The batteries last about 4/8 weeks depending on usage. I use rechargeable which their instructions don’t recommend.

  • I've got the wifi model. It's not bad. Batteries last probably about 3 months but I'm using rechargeables. Main issue is that it doesn't detect the door has closed reliably (not available on this model). Installation is pretty easy.

mine (also same like yours the wifi), detect 100% accurate, all the time night and day.
must be your installation isnt right (the white thingie)

  • I have 2 of these. Never had a battery issue, they last for months at a time. What I will say is if you are using HA, you have to jump through some serious hoops to get these to work. Only way I've got them to work with HA is to connect them to Alexa and get HA to call the Alexa routines. You open a big security hole too as you need to give Alexa permissions to unlock. If you don't care for HA and are ok with BT or Wifi only, then these are pretty good.

Edit: I will add, if you want to go wifi, each device needs it's own wifi bridge. So 2 devices needs 2 bridges.

  • It does say its rated for ip65 for weather but does it handle direct sun as well?

  • OK I'm missing something. I can't get it cheaper than $189
