  • Agree with others 128GB minimum as usual Apple pricing it so you have to get 256GB. Therefore no deal

It's priced so if you're wanting more than 64GB you may as well look at the iPad Air 128GB

  • I think the concern for some people with the 64gb model would be how future os updates tend to grow in size and how apps tend to get bigger too. 16gb used to be fine too, but yeah in 5 years from now that 64gb might be bad. I had 64gb model in 2014 and my old iPad is still in use from that era, but if I had bought the 16gb model instead I’m not sure that would be the case now. I personally wouldn’t go below 128gb nowadays because of this but I do intend to keep the devices until they are pretty much dead. So my expectations might be different to others.

I’ve still got an iPod Generation 4 that still runs. Some Apple stuff ya need a brick to kill.

      • The hardware continues to work providing you replace the battery, but the latest apps need the newer iOS versions.

        • Original battery on this little puppy too.

Yeah, it isn’t the latest iOS. Even Apple gives up eventually.

        • Yes once you stop getting major updates, you only got around two years left at running all the latest versions of apps.

And my old iPad is on original battery too. Still can get a few hours screen time at this age, well down on the around 10 hours it was getting when new. I guess that’s the good thing with older tablets.

@Ronnnie: I've got an old Ipad mini4 and I have no idea what to do with it.

            • @try2bhelpful: Trade it in to JB or similar?

              • @Duff5000: I’m not sure it is worth much, it is beyond the iOS update level. Maybe I should donate it to an Op Shop.

I paid ~$605 at the Apple store yesterday.

Price matched to 10% off ($674), and got another $70 woolies credit paying with discounted apple GC's

    • Good one.

    • Ah, didn't know Apple store price match. Did you just show the officework link and they price match it? Thanks

  • you get $120 apple gift card through applestore now , works out cheaper if you gonna make use of the gift card

    • Can we use the apple gift cards from the Woolworths deal and get the $120 from the Ed Store as well?

      • This should be possible, you need to redeem the apple gift cards to your apple account first and use the account balance during check out.
