    When I was a school pupil in year 3 or 4 in China, I was warned about "Wind syndrome." Apparently, sitting directly in front of a fan for too long could make you sick. We were told to turn the fan off every 30 minutes. I didn't check this fan's origin, but this suspeciously like a Chinese feature.
