Zilch for me. Uber One seem to have gone from weekly deals to absolutely nothing for me.

    • +5

Same - it's like they've figured out that I'm a lost cause for them (never placed a full price order lol)

    • +5

After all of our PayPal 6 month trials have run out, I don't think many people will have Uber One

That should be pinned @ mods

The % off is dependent on the store, I have 15-30 from different places.

2 weeks into the new year comes a deal to test my resolve.

  • Got it thanks

  • +2

Curious to know if people who use uber eats less are getting higher % off.

    • +1

I haven't used in months and hot 40% so I would guess that is why.

    • I placed 3x grocery orders when I had $20 off $40 orders but no restaurant orders. Got 40% off.

    • Used it last night, got 40% off today.

    • I use weekly and got 15%

    • I haven't used it in months. Would have liked the $1 deals, but I couldn't get any of those, so I haven't used them since. I've got the 40% off.

    • In the last 3 months, I've:
      - used it on those $1 deals they had for that special week
      - Used it on a grocery order with $20 off a $50 grocery shop
      - Used it once last week to pay full price for an order at a mate's party (but with free delivery via UberOne)

And so on that basis, I got 30% off

      • +1

Some of those $1 deals were awesome. I got a schnitzel and a large serve of vegetables delivered from a local Italian restaurant for $1.97. Regular instore price is $29 and Uber price $33

    • I don't use mine much and I got 40%.

    • Seem like it. I been using ubereats quite frequently and only got 15%

  • got it, ty op

  • Only 15% - boycott lol

  • Thanks got 40%. My last order was 5th Dec

    • Similar to me.

  • +1

Is this limited to one redemption per account? Couldn't find that info on the T&Cs.

  • Does it apply to grocery?

  • Just checked my promotions and got 30% off

  • 15% off up to $30 :(

  • Legend! Got 40%

  • 15%

  • Going to check a few other places but this discount along with discounted items in Copper Branch took a pickup order from there down from $47.20 to $19.30.

  • +1

You got to wonder though, restaurants jack up prices by 35% when selling via Uber , this is “up to 40% off” but with a cap of $30 so you won’t even get maximum discount on a $100 food order.

So effectively Uber still makes a good 5-10% profit even on this promotion.

    • Most do but not all. My local is actually cheaper on uber eats than instore. I'm sure it's not intentional, they just haven't adjusted pricing but it's always worth checking prices at both before ordering.

    • Stack with restaurant specific promo. And discounted gift cards.

  • 30% only. Not bad i guess. Time to break my diet again 😂

  • Haven’t ordered for a few months, got zilch.

  • +1

Got it, lunch sorted, thanks OP!

    • Classic ozbargain line, this

  • Holy poop, local charcoal chicken shop menu in person is 15 for half chicken meal, on Uber eats platform is 26.6. It’s crazy mark up

  • I got 30%.

  • Nothing on my app.
Joined Uber a few months ago and haven't received offers in a while

  • Nothing for me.. DoorDash will have to do for now

  • Got 40%, thanks OP

  • Is it only for today only?

    • +1

My 15% offer expires January 22

  • Nothing for me.

  • I got 30%. Thank you OP.

  • 15%, pretty standard. Not sure what people they target for 40%, would love to get it next time lol

  • +4

Funny that I got 40% off promo working, so $22 dish came down to $14.75 but it was just for delivery and the the restaurant was just downstairs from my workplace, hence decided to come down and check with the restaurant, apparently they were selling the same dish for $14 takeaway 😬😬
Ubereats always feels like a joke to me unless you wanna get it delivered 😐

    • Exactly. If you're buying for a group/family you are much better off just driving 2min to your local restaurant to pick it up as the price jacked prices on a group dinner ends up being a lot. For singles that just want to have a $10 Burger delivered to them it's probably ok.

    • Was it not available for pickup? Most places is cheaper pickup with discount codes since you don't have to pay the "convenience fee"

      • Surprisingly not, only for delivery

    • +1

True, but any self-respecting professionals here knows to use the 10% off gc to pay Uber eats, so it’s still a bit less in the end 🙃

  • probably been mentioned before but I went to cancel uber one as I only got offered 15% and havent really been using it and got offered 90% off next months fees so I kept it and then will cancel later - just set a reminder.

  • 30% off for me

  • Just got an email, only 15% here.

  • 30% off for me

  • 15% off for me

  • Thanks OP. Just checked and I got 40% off up to $30. Going to get some Indian food later this week :)

    • The only indian place in town left doesn't do uber! Pizza it is… zzz.

  • +1

No dice for my account 😑

  • 40% off, last order was Dec 5th. Thank you OP

  • 40% for me too, last order a few days ago. Got an email too for it, cheers OP :)

  • Frequent buyer, only 15% 😔

  • only 10% discount for me

  • 15% off for me, frequentish buyer

  • 40% off for me too.

  • Did a few checkouts to see actual prices, once you add in delivery fee and service fee $5+

prices are just slightly lower than going to the store yourself,

So feels like a nice free delivery option to try stores you havent visited before

  • 40% off NICE!!

  • +1

I got 40% off, first decent deal with Uber one for almost a month

  • 30%, last order was boxing day. Average of 2-3 orders per month over the past six months

  • 40% off for me

  • Don’t forget to stack the CBA 10$ off 25$ rewards.

  • 40% off for me, maybe because I havent ordered on uber eats since 3 months ago.

  • 40% here. When does this end? Need to order for tmr

    • Says use by 21 Jan 2024 in the promos tab….

      • thanks missed it

  • +1

For people that have used it, can you please confirm this code is only for once off use? One of the term condition I can see is "Unlimited until Jan 22", so not sure if the code is only once off? Thanks

    • +1

After I have used it, no longer shows in Promotions tab. So I assume once off.

  • +1

Thanks got 40%. My last order was 6th Jan

  • +2

40% off and only ever buy food with promotions

  • Thanks OP.

To me, ubereats, EatClub and the rest are engaged in false advertising.

A venue should not be allowed to have a price in store that’s different to the price listed in these apps.

Example (with simple numbers but most places seem to be doing this now)

    Instore price: $16
    Ubereats price: $20
    40% off: $12

That’s wrong already (even if it’s still $4 cheaper for this once-off promo)

Then add delivery fee that can be different to the instore delivery fee.
For this example, let’s say it’s $10 in the app instead of $5 instore.

Then add the magical “service fee” that can be anything at all.
For this example, let’s say $4.

So you did not get 40% off. You can get no discount at all or potentially pay more than going direct.
In this example you have paid $5 more.

Uber and the rest (as well as the venues themselves) are engaging in deceptive behaviour and we need to start reporting it to them and escalating to regulators if no action is taken.

I reported this to Eatcub where they had $13 as the price and it was actually $16 in the venue.
When the “25% off” discount was applied, the final price was $12 - saving me a measly $1 and I would not have chosen that venue knowing this going in.
EatClub refunded the difference as they know they will get in trouble if enough people report them.
I just avoid that venue now but more and more are doing the same dodgy bait-advertising prices.

End rant. PS: I am not a crack pot.

    • I don’t think EatClub know when the venue raises their in store prices, not really their fault in this case

      • Agree with JHoliday. With all the price hikes taking places at restaurants, I don't think restaurants reflect new prices in EatClub app as well so you'd still see and expect the "old" prices on app. Wouldn't be a problem if you did takeaway though, in that case it's actually a win as you're getting cheaper prices than dining in!
