[QLD, NSW] Dreamworld Locals Annual Pass $50 (with $50 Voucher, Limit 50,000 Claims) @ Experience Oz

1810
GCSUMMERFUNDS

Full credit to user @great-price in the Village Roadshow deal.

Today QLD state premier Steven Miles announced 50,000 $50 vouchers would be made available to boost tourism on the Gold Coast. Couple that with already discounted tickets to Dreamworld and you've got yourself $50 for a years worth of entry, as well as to White Water World, the SkyPoint Observation deck at Q1 Surfers Paradise, Dreamworlds Happy Halloween event, ice skating entry at Dreamworlds Winterfest event as well as food/bevereage/merchandise discounts.

These are normally valued at $149 online or $159 at the gate.

Enter coupon "GCSUMMERFUNDS" at checkout for $50 off. One use per email and valid for SE QLD residents only. Must travel before March 29th 2024.

Though please note that this website is copping an absolute flogging right now, it took quite some time to manage to get two passes purchased.

Only one discounted ticket purchase per email.

"locals" defined as: Living in Queensland (4000 - 4999) or Northern NSW (2450-2490)

Update as of around 4pm - site has been completely ozbargained. Hopefully back up later today.

Update 5pm - website shall be offline for a few more hours yet. It apparently went down at 2pm QLD, so you may not have received the emailed confirmation if you managed to sneak in after this. I suggest giving it a break tonight and seeing if their system can catch up. Please be patient with the staff on the other end of the phones!

Update Tuesday - shows over folks! Dreamworld annual passes have been pulled. I look forward to sharing the rides with you all. Note the $50 discount is still valid at the time of writing for lots of other really great experiences down the coast. If you didn't receive your tickets via email, please give them a call and they'll easily sort you out. Call centre was getting smashed this morning but I think it's eased up.

Update Friday - WE BACK BABY! Locals annual pass for $50 is available once again!!
jumped the gun - looks like there were only a tiny amount made available today.

      • Tried to find it without any luck. But if they are not checking anything, any non-SEQ would be able to purchase any non-local discounted attractions/tickets?

12yrs on Ozb and I've finally cracked a ripper deal! Stoked for everyone to take their loved ones on a whole bunch of great cheap days out. If anyone is going on the 30th of Jan, I'll be there and it'll also be my birthday :D

    • +1

      Enjoys this moment! 🥳🥳

    • +1

Firstly, thanks OP, legendary deal. Secondly, I hope you have a great birthday and if I’m there I’ll message you and buy you a beer 🍻

  • so the tkt that I did this arvo that took payment but no email or confirmation has now processed & been emailed to me, unfortunately I bought another with the ones that went through so now need to get a refund, can confirm this was using same email address so that isn't preventing anyone from buying more than one tkt with same email

  • -3

Any non Qlders game to have purchased the local tickets? I'll be taking kids to visit family in Brisbane next week (from Vic) should I get it ? I can bring my passport…

  • Awesome deal! Picked up 5 tickets on seperate emails.

  • Do we need to redeem using the reference/voucher code in dreamworld promotional code section?

    • +1

yes otherwise it'll be $100 showing at checkout

  • +1

I ordered 4 from same email. It worked, i got all the vouchers.
I was too excited and missed using different email ids for every single voucher.

  • Got 4, thanks OP!

  • +2

I wonder if there is any actual ability to cap it at 50,000… or they will just pull it down tomorrow…

I suspect Dreamworld is going to be very very very busy for the next 12 months! Cya there lol.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.
I bought 5 for the family, using the same details and same email id. All you need to do is purchase 1 at a time. Had no issues.

  • Awesome deal

    got 8

  • Allocation Exhausted :(

    • Yep appears to be OOS

    • More available!

  • Says allocation exhausted. Did they run out?

    • More just added.

  • +2

Dreamworld passes have run out, but the Sea World/Movie World/Wet n Wild passes are still working. Just purchased 4 a few minutes ago.
    https://themeparks.com.au/buy?type=summerfunds

    • I grabbed these too - it was a huge amount more for 5 but probably better value over a year

  • Allocation exhausted while buying the ticket. Got charged but came across an error screen :(

  • Can't add any to the basket anymore

  • I was in the middle of buying 4 tickets for the family. Bought 3 and 4th ended in a error and now it is exhausted. Can someone help

    • Call them. If you got charged, they said they would manually send voucher.

    • +1

buy 4th for full price from dreamworld directly.

  • +1

Can we take our own food and an esky to these parks?

    • +3

The first result from Googling "dreamworld outside food" will answer this question.

      • Thank you.
So, can we leave the park for a short period of time and come back after lunch?
Is it not worth the trouble?

        • +2

great idea. You have the annual pass, so can enter and exit as many times as you wish. There are local eateries nearby too. Or get an esky with ice and pack with nice lunch and drinks from home and leave in car….

        • +3

You'll find this is the tried and true method for many families for decades hehe. I've sat in the Dreamworld carpark eating vegemite sandwiches many times as a kid.

        • +1

Not worth the trouble. Traffic around there is a fkn nightmare. You'll honestly wish you just ate there and saved yourself the hassle.

          • @jaypee06: Thanks for the info.
We may go for the quick lunch/snack in the parking option like others suggest.

    • Sure can. I’ve even brought in my own icecream in an insulated food jar so I wasn’t pestered by my kid to buy an overpriced icecream.

      • Do the staff turn blind eye to the people who bring in their own foods or do they warn you not to?
(I haven’t been to theme parks in Australia for ages and I am curious to find out the current situation.)

        • +1

It’s completely allowed - you can bring any food you like in. You could probably order dominoes and pick it up out front if you were so inclined.

  • site was down all afternoon and now sold out great…

    • +2

      You snooze, you lose!

      • -7

I think those that 'missed out' are actually the real winners.

        • +7

I get it - you are not a fan of Dreamworld. I don't hold it against you. Do you really need to keep coming back to this deal to have a go at the people who just want to enjoy a day out with their family?

          • -5

            @Hinee:

Do you really need to keep coming back to this deal to have a go at the people who just want to enjoy a day out with their family?

Yes, considering because of Dreamworld there's people out there who will never get to enjoy a day with their families ever again.

            • +6

@PainToad: We all know what happened. We have made the informed decision to go back. Jog on.

  • +2

Each ride is going to be at least 4 hours wait over the next 12 months, have fun people.

    • you miss out?

    • Considering the amount of rides and attractions they’ve closed over the last 10 years, and how few new ones they’ve opened…even with long times, not much more than a days worth of entertainment there anyway.

But the park is a glorified day care for locals now. Not a theme park. Bogans just let their kids run wild there every weekend to get them out of the house.

  • Just trying to sort out one ticket that didn't get emailed through - I'm position #39 in the queue. Oh boy…..

    • +1

didn't you just download the voucher as soon as payment was processed? All my vouchers appeared this way.

      • First one came through fine. Second took payment but email wasn't received.

        • I am not referring to the email. On the website you could download it immediately….

          • +1

@Logical: Oh, interesting! Was that implemented after it came back up from maintenance? Early on when the website was seriously struggling I can't remember seeing anything like that on screen. Ahh well, I'm #2 in queue now on the phones so should have it sorted :)

            • +1

@Hinee: Yes apparently it was implemented later.

    • +1

Complete! Spoke to Emma who was 10/10 lovely and more than happy to be busy AF with this promo. Apparently the $2.5m is already almost gone too!

If anyone is still in queue - my #39 took exactly one hour to be answered, I just heard they're up over 100 now so stay patient!

  • I have purchased without realising the age and location requirements as it didn’t ask when purpchasing. Do they ask for proof of address when entering? How do they know you received the discount as it doesn’t say on tickets?
Can you get a refund on them?

    • +1

Do they ask for proof of address when entering

As has been asked multiple times already, yes, they look at the postcode on your drivers licence.

How do they know you received the discount as it doesn’t say on tickets?

Did you purchase the "Dreamworld Locals Annual Pass"?

Can you get a refund on them?

That would be a question for Dreamworld.

      • I purchased the 3 park pass for village theme parks and 3 days pass for dreamworld with white water world and sky point.

        • Not sure on that one sorry.

    • If you can get it transferred I’ll buy it off you. My partner bought one last night about 2 minutes before I tried and when I did it was sold out.

    • PM me, I will buy 1 from you

  • I was missing two out of the five orders I placed last night (5 were processed on my credit card). Called earlier and within 10mins spoke with a rep who followed up on the two names and email addresses I used to processed the orders and said it should take 24-48hrs for them to see the payment. Fortunately, both vouchers/tickets showed up in my email address 1hr later. Very happy!

  • Looks like they pulled the annual pass and only have the 2 or 3 day options now - https://goldcoastsummerfunds.experienceoz.com.au/en/things-t…

  • Would someone like to sell 1 pass. Happy to pay a bit higher.

    • They're back!

  • +1

    It’s back in stock!!!! Hurry!!!
    Just bought 2!!

    • Great pickup, deal updated! :D

  • Bought 1 out of 4 and………

    ALLOCATION EXHAUSTED

    • the email only came out an hour back …. did they only have 10 annual passes or something … what a joke

    • well shiiiiiiiiit :/

  • Says exhausted again … sigh

  • Any idea of the refund process for this because I'm totally not interested going to these sort of theme park attractions alone, and yes forking out another $50 is a lot of money per person

    • Give them a buzz - they're super friendly and helpful. 1300 935 532

      • I will hang around for the next couple of days and see if the deal is back up again, if not I will get them to refund it. I only got told of this deal a few minutes ago.

        • PM me, I will buy from you

    • Let us know how you go, coz i gave them the same story and said unforuntately can't be refunded

      • Oh really? That's pretty shit of them.

      • Send me a message, I'll buy it from you if you can't get a refund

    • Put it in OzB classifieds. Someone will buy the voucher for sure.

    • I need one as i am short of 1. would you like to sell it to me

      • +1

Yes sure if you want to buy it from me.

        • I need 1 as well

          • @zuslab: yeah OK how do we go about this

        • Can you send me a personal message. I can pay via paypal and you can send me the ticket

We can meet up as well and i can pay cash if you like.

  • Can anybody share their dreamworld pass, I'm here at Gold Coast for 2 days trip and tickets are 120 each, I'm happy to pay some

  • Can you help me out

    • I haven’t collected my passes for my family yet but I’m pretty sure they take a photo of you when you start the pass so it’s not possible to share them. Otherwise I would share it with you but so would everyone, that’s why they take the photos.

  • No plans to go any time soon, so assume should just redeem on 29th March for the longest expiry? Or can I redeem now and pick a start date?

    • +1

It starts from redemption date - best to wait.

  • +1

29 March is Easter Friday so don't wait until then. Way too busy
