[VIC, SA, QLD] 12 Months Gym Membership $399 + $88 Establishment Fees @ Derrimut 24:7 Gym

36

According to Derrimut Gym: "these prices will not be seen again". In my opinion, not the best deal, but if you're looking for a gym which is cheap as compared to others (such as Zap / Goodlife), then this would be the best deal. The sale which has replaced the previous one is $399 (Membership Cost) + $88 (Establishment/Admin Fee), hence $487.00 total upfront for 1 year membership.

    From $188 + $79 to $288 + $88 and now $399 + $88 over a span of a month?

    I don’t like price jacking

Exactly, OP how is this a deal? It has gone up in price, not down.

The only thing getting jacked at this gym is the price

I’m not sure exactly what they’re threatening here but it doesn’t sound like something that would hold up in court.

  • I just don’t understand their angle. If they mean “these prices will never get lower than $488 again” then shit, derrimut seems destined to join the expensive gym world and people will end up angry. If they mean it literally, and next month it’s $350, then the peeps who bought in at $488 would feel angry.

Sorry Op will have to neg for a significant jack compared to last month.

Also the last post only expired on the 4th Jan… $288 + $88 Establishment Fees. That's less than 2 weeks ago.

Why exactly?? Why are gyms so scammy?

    • One word, MONEY

Better for them to hold it in their account and gain interest on it then to give it back to you straight away and lose that interest on it. They're happy to deduct it from your bank account straight away, but won't give it back to you straight away (or within an acceptable time-frame)

According to Derrimut Gym: *"these prices will not be seen again"

Does that mean it will be $499 + 88 next month? Since the previous deals within just over a month were $188 + $79 & $288 + $88

Inflation must be getting really bad

At $488 its still $9 a week which is cheaper then any gym around me, but it does suck that they've increased prices this much especially that I'm a month away from needing to renew my Derrimut membership. I'm going to call the bluff on this deal and hopefully they'll have something cheaper by feb…

Not a deal. I see there aren't many Derrimut gyms around anywhere apart from Victoria. Even in Victoria, I couldn't see any/many in the inner city area. I haven't been to a Derrimut gym. Are the gym facilities improved recently to justify the sudden increase in pricing?

    • Derrimut gyms are scattered around the edges of the metro with inner city being dominated by orher private, council gyms and other leisure centres.

  • I think they mean Derrimut is going bankrupt and you won't see these prices again

Lol. Prices are back again 😬
