  • Ridiculously good pricing, time limit is short to buy and to fly though, but to get over there for 299 is very cheap - you could almost fly to there and fly elsewhere from Japan and potentially save a bit

  • That is ridiculously cheap. Japan is also a good stop-over point if you want to fly Korea or north part of China.

  • No flight from Perth? dang!

  • Well, I've been checking this out and managed to get the cheapest fares down to $138 each way without taxes. All up, the cheapest fare I got including taxes was $584 return. That's not really $299…

    • I know, it's frustrating the way these airlines SALE ticketing works. I've never managed to get down to the cheapest price offered. Although the deal does says "from" $299, so it could be anywhere between that price and infinity really..

But anyway, had someone really been able to hit that lowest price deal?

    • But isn't $584 returned cheaper than $299 x 2? Or you mean $584 one way? $584 returned is really good price isn't it?

      • I didn't realize it was $584 return, if that's the case it's even cheaper!

  • They played around with the wording a bit… "Total fare includes all taxes, surcharges…"

Maybe the prices they are giving aren't "Total Fare" prices…

Maybe they aren't total fair either.

Maybe the wording isn't clear, but for those who do overseas traveling, $300 each way with Taxes to Japan IS a Bargain no matter how you put it.

    So Fares Fair

  • Fair enough.

  • I reckon it's great price but if I were going to Japan, I'd probably wanna go for more than a week or two. But it says the ticket is for travelling from 15 July to 14 August 2007, there just isn't enough time to plan a holiday let alone get the time off. That's the catch though I think, you just have to be flexible enough to take advantage of this offer.

  • I dunno, I might as well use the spatial displacement function if I'm going to the hassle of firing up the time machine.
