    • +1

      Noting on my too..

      • No Yello even tho I have Ultimate Awards CC and fixed term account with 5 digit sum…guess I am not worthy.

Found the conditions and opened up a Smart Access account within the CommBank app.

I am offered $10 cashback for $200 spend… What the heck!

  • $15 for $150 here.

Received 5 other offers today as well (e.g. Ampol, Endota). I wonder if they do bulk offer drops on Fridays?

  • only offer i have is the $22.50 movie package

    • Same. I’ve used some of the bigger coles ones in the past so maybe they’re targeting lower offers to people who have redeemed previously?

  • Anyone now how to activate yello? Mine just says its locked i click find out more but it just tells me about it no where to actually unlock it.

    • You need to make a number of purchases with CBA, terms here:
      https://www.commbank.com.au/content/dam/commbank-assets/comm…

      • Strange, I make probably a hundred or so transactions on my credit card each month. :(

        • +1

You also need a Commonwealth transaction account: Smart Access, Everyday Offset, Pensioner Security, Private Banking, and Complete Access.

    • need a transaction account with commbank to have yello now.

once you open an account can take up to a month to unlock(think it checks on the 15th of every month)

      • My main account has been with them for about 15 years, credit card is attached to that account.

          • @xdpx: Mine's a smart access :( I'll just have to go in once I get back home.

              • @xdpx: Huh… interesting, I used to have Smart Access but just looked again and it says Streamline Basic…. I'll have to sort that out I guess. That'll be why I don't have it. Thanks for your help.

          • @xdpx: I saw need to do a number of transactions from this transaction account or CC. Is the CC referred the debit card that comes with it?

            • +1

@hippo2s: No. But for your purposes kind of.

Basically you need a specific account open with them to get yello at all.

Then you either need to use a CommBank credit card or the debit card attached to the transaction account to make transactions. When you have made a certain amount in either it "unlocks"

If you just have credit card it won't unlock. But if you just have transaction account and use the debit card attached it will work fine.

Most people with CommBank credit card don't use transaction account for payments so it's more of a way to keep people use Credit card for payments instead of defaulting to the debit card.

      • Can contact them to ask for activation in between.

I'll take this opportunity to give another FU to CBA for taking away the rewards from those of us that have a credit card but no transaction account.

  • Anyone know if gift card purchases are eligible with these offers?

    • +10

technically No .. practically Yes ☺

      • Gift Card yes .. physical gift card in store. Cause it will show as Coles Supermarkets, it won't differentiate. Did it few times before. I haven't not try online gift card purchase

  • $10 off $100. I don't spend that much in my shopping trips :(

    • +2

Can always buy $100 gift card and get $10 off that way?

        • Yes! It does work.

  • $20 off $200 here - still 10% off, not too bad.

  • $10 off $100 here as well.

  • I have $10 bucks off when i spend over $200…

  • I only have a credit card with commbank, is yello worth opening up a bank account to activate it

    • +1

Transfer 2k in and out, every month. Doesn’t have to sit there.

      Can’t hurt

    • I just opened up one. Also only have CC (and term deposit). I figure I have to transfer money monthly to the CC anyway from another bank, so I can just deposit 2K monthly on its way to paying off the CC.

  • Is there limits to cba ones like Amex ?

    • nope, if it shows up for you then it is available to you regardless of how many others have activated the same.

  • Can’t see my Cole’s offer yet….

    • +1

      Cole’s offer

Who is Cole and what is he offering?

      • J.Cole’s brother, not much at the moment

        • He is already spent…

Negging because of CBA's dodgy practice in a recent similar offer.

Last month the JB offer was "spend by Dec 27".

I did my transaction on the 25th Dec and my cashback didn't come. They say it can take up to 14 business days for cashback to be paid, and I waited until the 15th business day to contact them.

Did a live chat with CBA on Wednesday and they said the transaction posted on the 28th, despite the "value date" being the 25th as per their system, my invoice and my bank transactions. CBA therefore did not trigger the cashback.

I am now awaiting feedback as I've escalated. Just letting you all know to check they actually pay you back.

I had a similar experience for the $10 off $50 ebay spend. I purchased from different sellers in ebay and the charges were made as different transactions. Called up CBA, they said it needs to be a single transaction.

Was transferred to 2 different teams and senior specialist for a total of 2hrs on the phone (with 90% of it being on hold) only for them to agree for a one-off good will adjustment after a long and frustration conversation/argument.

And surprisingly the automatic cashback also kicked it and gave me another $10 :) a week later.

    • This happened to me too a few years ago on a commbank/Coles deal with a huge cashback, I think it was $60 back. Spent on the last day which was a Sunday, and it seemed to not apply because it wasn't processed until later. I didn't bother calling etc because it seemed likely they'd just say that.

    I've got $30 for $200 spend by 31 Jan.

The T&C's doesn't specify if the $200 spend needs to be in 1 transaction or can be multiple.

    Can anyone confirm please.

    • +2

Keep scrolling down, it says one transaction unless stated otherwise.

      • Thanks, I must have missed it.

  • negging because is targeted.

  • $5 of $100 here,
also got a $10 off $100 for Myer
and the best one $5 off $70 at Ampol - we've a really cheap fuel station in Gosford that should take it

  • My offer is $10 CB with $100 minimum spend.

  • I had a few offers recently and they are pretty good, quick tracking and cashback

  • Yello won't work for me…

  • They call it mellow yello.

  • $15 off $150

  • $15 off $150

$5 off $150… Is that worst so far?

    • Think so haha. I thought they'd never go lower than 5%.

  • 10 for 200 wtcookery

  • +1

Good to stack with the Coles Mastercard offer (If you can find stock)

  • $10 off $200

  • Not sure if it still works,I activated but didnt spend that much in 1 transaction when two months ago I got similar offer.

I needed cash so went to a Coles to cash out $100, then it gave me $5 free money:)

    Worthy trying

  • They keep sending me $5 off on $100….

  • No offer on my account. Its been a while since ive seen something worthwhile through commbank.

  • Definitely an appropriate colour for this " rewards" program
