      • Just wondering - wont be the TGG deal be better off with the $1600 discount, and $300 eGift card too?

        • Without trade-in, there're $300 better off.

        • TGG don’t offer the $300 gift card if you take up the $1600 discount. The $300 gift card is by redemption after you purchase and not applicable with any other offer which includes the $1600 off.

      • I think the $300 gift card is now $150 according to the jb hifi web site.

        • Yes i heard it changed a few days ago

  • Says very clearly on the website that the $100-$150 gift card, nor the $350 trade in credit can not be stacked with the $1400 Telstra plan.

    Also, the Critical Information summary lists a Maximum Voucher Repayment Fee of $800, BUT, the Terms and Conditions states;

    6 LEAVING

    Voucher Repayment Fee
    6.2 If you received a JB Hi-Fi Voucher when you purchased your Mobile Service and you cancel
    that Mobile Service within any applicable Voucher Term, you must pay us the outstanding
    amounts for the JB Hi-Fi Voucher you received for the cancelled Mobile Service (the Voucher
    Repayment Fee).
    6.3 The Voucher Repayment Fee is a pro-rata amount, equal to the total amount of the base
    Voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by the months (or part months) remaining in your
    Voucher Term. For example, if received a voucher with a 24-month Voucher Term, then in:
    (a) Month 1: You will need to repay 23/24 of the Voucher you received;
    (b) Month 12: You will need to repay 11/24 of the Voucher you received; and
    (c) Month 23: You will need to repay 1/24 of the Voucher you received.

    This implies that you'd be paying back the full value of the voucher!

  • so let me get this right, you can trade in an old device for $350 towards the phone HOWEVER you are not allowed to combine it with the $1450 from the phone plan discount?

    so they're essentially completely separate deals?

  • Anyone know what happens if you sign up for this 2 year sim but then Telstra service is unusable in your area?

    I have a telstra sim for work and can hardly get a signal or any data to work in my area EVEN though tlestra website says my area is 4g and 5g ready.

    Would telstra refund me plan costs but want me to go back to JB andngive back gift cards?

    I don't see why I would have to pay the cancel fee

    so went to JB on the way home, asked about stacking the $350 trade in and $1450 telstra deal, and the staff was happy to do it, finished the trade in process when got home. went to a different JB the next day, and they were confused as to whether or not you could stack it, they ended up doing it for me, since the staff that helped me pretty much said it was possible, processed the telstra plan then his manager(?) said they're not allowed to do it however that i would be the last time.

    just make sure they scan your $350 COUPON before the $1450, it wont work otherwise, theres usually a sign at the counter as well to advise coupons need to be given to staff prior to VOUCHERS
