For those who missed the [Amazon Deal] (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/827783), chances are that Amazon were price matching Mr Toys Toyworld. In-Store only offer.

This little engine chugs along with a lamp lighting the way. A touch of a button puts this little engine in reverse! A wonderful toy train engine with or without battery power!

  I received my Hape train order today and upon inspection it looked surprisingly similar to the Ikea Lillabo battery operated train

  Opening and comparing the internals of both confirmed that they both share similar if not the same features including axels, light up wiring, screw sizes, lower metal housing - https://imgur.com/gallery/GLlJUUl

  I would not be surprised if these 2 trains came from the same subcontracted factory / company

  With both trains being roughly the same height; the Hape train will definitely be compatible with the Ikea Lillabo system and vice versa with the Lillabo battery operated train
