Personal Finance Tracker Spread Sheet $6 (Was $8) @ CompiledSanity Personal Finance

1061

Budgeting for Stage 3 tax cuts can be difficult – but with a good spreadsheet you too can deliver a generous household surplus! No brackets required.

This formula driven and automated net worth and savings tool has been really popular on OzBargain and reddit, and hopefully you'll enjoy it too! The sheet is made to help track monthly finances and provides a bird's eye view of your financial position each month. For me, I saw that after maximising Boost cashbacks I now have enough to finally pull the trigger on more OXO accessories.

Changes since the last deal – many bug fixes per community requests, improved connectivity with MorningStar/Financial Times live pricing and more to come!

  • Thanks for this. Finally decided to buy. Now time to not be lazy and plug everything in!

Hope you enjoy! It might take a bit of time at the start depending on your circumstances, but from that point on it’s about 2-3 minutes each month and well worth it.

      Good luck on the journey!

  • Is this tracker helpful to make decisions of type of loan , intrest rates etc for an investment property ? nothing fancy but I am puzzled with calculating things like paying less interest rate ( as owner occupier) but higher mortgage repayment (principal+interest) or paying higher interest rate (as investment property) but overall lower repayment as interest only payment and negative gear it etc…?

  • Hi @CSPersonalFinance,

Grate utility you have done here and I have purchased this during last sale. I got some troubles when moving from one month to another most of the time and I have emailed you, but didn't got any response. Could you kindly look into this situation if I DM you now ?

  • Is there an easy way to record shares in USD as opposed to AUD if we dabble in both asx and snp500?

Can this be edited to work in NZD?

Can I manually enter historical data for past months, or is this a start-from-scrach sort of thing?

    • Good question - also interested in this.

    • You can, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

May as well just track change from now moving forward.

  • Just bought the spreadsheet, in the stock tab, the AUD values and USD values are mixed up, it's giving the USD values for AUD and AUD values for USD, so I have to set them all to USD to provide the correct values (lol)

Also with the Crypto tab, I have added the CoinMarketCap API key to 'SheetOptions' but when entering tickers in the Crypto tab it doesn't update live data.

  • Been using this for a year and it's well worth the price

  • I purchased this last time it was on OzBargain, but I did not realise that I needed a Google account, as I am anti Google, I guess there is no way of using this?

    • Not sure why it needs a google accounts? Is it because of the Google Sheets specific scripts or is it to build the identity bridge between the data and the person entering the data? @CSPersonalFinance

  • Just purchased thanks OP, needed something like this, good timing!

  • Really want to get this during the sale period but is there any way we could not enter the billing details? Would really prefer not to give out my home address, number etc…. :(

  • Can you make dividend tab to be automated? like i dont have to key in everything

  • It states "This will allow CS Personal Savings Sheet to:

See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets
    Connect to an external service
    Send email as you
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications"

Presume this is just generic warning from Google?

  • Hey Mate, i have bought the full version and bank already charged me but sheet hasn't comes to my email yet.
