  • some great prices for australian certified stuff!

    • These are actually certified? Big if true

      • Yes everything we stock is RCM compliant

        • +1

Compliant or certified? Those are 2 different things

  • +1

Does anyone know if the PowerPoint / switches work as a router or an end device?
I bought a couple of 2 gang switches from Kogan and unfortunately they are all end devices.

    Edit: Apparently they are routers.

    Routing Function Enabled: Yes

    • On the power points, yes; however, the switches work without the neutral wire, so they only work as endpoints due to power consumption.

  • does the dimmer switch suit the Clipsal Iconic wall plate?

    • The switches all fit Australian wall plates / back boxes

    • No - they're full replacement of the switches and faceplates installed. You keep everything behind Iconic (wall bracket, cables, etc.), but not Iconic set themselves.

Clispal Wiser mechs are really expensive if you want the "iconic" look, unfortunately. I assume you asked because you already looked up the pricing?

      • Sorry. I thought you were asking regarding the Zigbee dimmer not the Rotary dimmer. The rotary dimmer fits the clipsal classic fitment not iconic or saturn

  • How reliable are this double power points or the brand in general? I was thinking of getting few shellys, but pricing is almost similar for a zigbee double power point so might be good to have this?

Is this for single point or for both together?

    Rated Load: 10A 240V~

    • +1

The Shelly 1pm or 1 plus is only rated to 16a so it will only do a single power point this has 2 x 10a outlets

      • Shelly 2.5m which I would need for 2 points is rated same as 2x10a.

        • The wiring in a double power point is not separate. Usually it only has one connection

  • @Oz Smart Things I have something like https://www.bunnings.com.au/deta-x6-single-architrave-switch… on door frame to turn on and off the down lights of a room. Can I replace those switches with Oz Wifi Rotary Smart Dimmer?

    • Yes, but as long as you have space behind it for the dimmer. Often, Architraves have very limited space.

  • New to smart things, I'm thinking of getting the zigbee dimmer switch, what else would I need to start other than the switch?

    • You will need a Zigbee hub. For a beginner, I recommend the Zemismart homekit hub. It easily connects to this switch, and you can control it from the Tuya app, google, and Alexa.

  • regarding:
    Oz Smart Zigbee Door Sensor

I see it has a back up battery, but does it require being plugged into power¿

    • It is optional to use as a battery device or powered by a USB cable.

      • thank,you.
can you provide a rough time it will last on battery befoee recharging please.

        • From a quick search with the model number on the website (NAS-DS07W), it seems a similar Wi-Fi model with the same enclosure on AliExpress states use of either CR2 or CR123A batteries. My 2xCR2032 Zigbee sensors can run ~8-10 months given I'm on a almost all end devices (only 2 routers). So I guess the bigger CR2s can last quite longer? But at this size, you better off 2xAAA sensors as those batteries are dirt cheap compared to CR2/CR123A and CR2032s, especially if you're not planning to run those sensors plugged in.

          • @xmagic: Ok. That’s decent.
            Cheers

I should have asked before , but do you need anything other than wifi?

  • Do you have anything to control the dimming for a Shelly RGBW2?
