Same price at CWH if yalls happen to be going there anyway

I have insane eczema on hands and arms, this brand kinda helps sometimes…

    • +4

It has chemicals which soothe temporarily.

Try natural soaps/methods(vegetarian ones) thats are plentiful in Chinese and other Asian traditional knowledges, e.g. using chickpea flour, plentiful videos on yt.

      • the only thing that has really helped for me so far is long term and nearly daily topical steroid use. Unfortunately it seriously thins the skin out and I am crazy prone to skin fissures on hands now… which sucks as I’m super hands on for work and gym HAHAHHAHA

        Sigh

After a year of research on my daughter, I found the cause of eczema to be detergents. Had to replace every soap item, creams, toothpaste etc. But now she is eczema free.

            @singingwolf: Oh wow even toothpaste?

I’ve been using omo since as long as I can remember, still use ono. Tried the new pod style ones recently but not a fan as it’s seriously so scented compared to the liquid.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Anything you buy in a supermarket has detergents. Even the so called natural ones. We import out soaps from the US (calben). Not cheap after shipping but it's what we do

              • @singingwolf: Damn

What brands did you go with? Maybe I’ll give it a go again

              • +1

@singingwolf: Have you ever thought of making your own soap? Might end up cheaper and you could have a fun little hobby to do once in a while, plus you can exclude any detergents

              • @singingwolf: @singingwolf hey mate how do you order Cal Ben soap? I notice their site doesn't ship to Australia.. Cheers

                • @Given: I use hopshopgo - they on ship to AU. This is where it becomes expensive 😁

I went from a tube of ointment every 2 weeks to almost never using it anymore after using goats milk soap. Goats milk helps because it's supposed to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

If you find it helps a bit, check out Glad skin. It's supposed to attack specific microbes on your skin. It was the next step I was going to take if goats milk soap didn't work for me.

      • No Australian stockists?

        • +1

Unfortunately they are based in Europe and ship from there.

I think they only sell direct. They don't seem to sell through third parties.

  • Good soap but lemon myrtle is our least liked of the range. Will stock up from chemist warehouse.

    • Too scratchy

  • Most annoying ads ever

Is it made from real goats?

Imitation goat, but personally I can't tell the difference

  • Is it used by Djokovic?

    Ingredients:
Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua (Water), Parfum (Fragrance), Caprae Lac (Goat’s milk) Powder, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Leaf Extract, Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Etidronic acid.

    Explanation from computer brain:

    • Sodium Palmate and Sodium Palm Kernelate: These are types of palm oil derivatives. They are generally considered safe for use in skincare products.
    • Aqua (Water): Water is a safe ingredient in skincare products.
    • Parfum (Fragrance): Fragrances can sometimes cause allergic reactions, but if properly formulated, they are generally safe. It's important to note that some people have sensitivity to certain fragrance ingredients, so if you experience an adverse reaction after using a product, it could be due to the fragrance.
    • Caprae Lac (Goat’s milk) Powder: Goat's milk is a safe ingredient in skincare products. It is gentle on the skin and provides nourishment.
    • Glycerin: Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it helps to retain water in the skin. It is generally considered safe for use in skincare products.
    • Sodium Chloride: This is table salt. While it is generally safe to use on the skin, some people may be sensitive to it.
    • Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Leaf Extract and Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Oil: These are natural ingredients extracted from the lemon myrtle plant. They are generally considered safe for use in skincare products.
    • Titanium Dioxide: This is a mineral sunscreen ingredient. It is generally safe for use in skincare products, but some people may be sensitive to it.
    • Tetrasodium EDTA: This is a type of chelating agent. It is generally considered safe for use in skincare products.
    • Etidronic acid: This is a preservative. It is generally considered safe for use in skincare products.

The missus uses the Yuka app and shut me down after getting in on the last deal

Edit: it has Cyclomethicone (banned in EU for concerns with fertility but not in US/Canada) and BHT (disrupts thyroid function).

    • Great post. Can't believe half this stuff is in there.

  • OOS? Not able to place an order

“We're sorry. This item is not purchasable now. We suggest you to remove it.”

    • Worked for me, order placed after your comment

      • Weird
Maybe because I already ordered 6 (which is the max in the dropdown) then tried to place the second order

        • I did order 6 as well

          • @JetBombat: I’m wondering if six is the maximum per account and you’re not able to place a second order

  • I still have some from last deal $1.49 for 2

Is this actually the same brand/product as what Chemist Warehouse sells? The packaging design and logo is entirely different.

There also appears to be two different websites and social media pages for both brands.
