Harvey Norman selling for $448 and Online price somewhere around $489…

    Are these any good… I do need two new rear speakers for my main system, and can use the others perhaps with a kids system.. $20 post to Perth seems pretty good.

      I've had these for 6 months, driven by an onkyo TX-NR609. The room I have it in is 8m x 5m, mounted in wall-ceiling corner and down-firing. For a cinema experience, they're quite good, better than any all-in-one system satellite speakers. For music, they leave out a lot of detail. At this price however, they bang for buck. The sub is huge for this price. On my receiver, they don't distort until its at +90% power (amp power = 840w RMS).

    Would this go well with the Pioneer VSX-521 everyone else bought recently?

      Schwinn, yes, it would. I investigated these about six months ago but ended up with a Jamo setup from Trevor Lees Audio as it was about the same price at the time. These are primarily suited for home theatre use.

    After doing some research I've gotta say $300 is a good price for what it is. Amazon is cheap (UK do not deliver, Germany charge EU150 for delivery), at the end of the day you'd be hard pressed to find anyone doing this price. My only problem is that I don't have an amp to drive the speakers, and I'm kicking myself for missing all those pioneer amp deals last month!!!

      EU150 ! Ouch! Got myself a set of these and a sony 7.1 amp for $200 each with $40 shipping total from AMAZON Germany 3 months ago.. Nice set of speakers!

    I have a set of these. For $299, they punch well above their weight. They will crap all over a set of logitechs at a similar price point.
