I was almost going to get the 75” at $6295 3 weeks ago and now ours $5596!

    • +15

You should have asked for more discount for the missing 2".

    • +1

I managed to nego mine with TGG asking them to match/beat LG Spin and Win.(They did not check if I had the voucher) Ended up getting it for $4130. This was back in December. Worth a try… YMMV

      • You got the 77" for $4130?

      • -1

is that possible that you can share your invoice? Thank you very much!

  • +5

Great deal, I thought I did well at $3200, now I get refunded the difference thanks OP!
Now to work out the cabling through my brick wall.

    • How did you request for refund? I purchased mine online through JB Hi Fi for $3490 2 weeks ago :(

      • +1

I called them and they said bring in the receipt and they will refund the difference, Im going there tomorrow. Try it mate I think its a 30 day window.

        • Thank you. I will call them tomorrow. In the meanwhile I have filled an online form on their website tonight. Fingers crossed!

          • +1

@ozioziozi: Good luck I think you will be in for a nice surprise..

          • +1

@ozioziozi: Don't waste time, give them a call. My understanding is 14 days, not 30.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yep, all done! I sent them an email last night and had a chat with them first thing this morning. They confirmed that they are issuing a refund for the difference. Because I used the gift cards, I need to wait 1-3 days to receive the gift cards.

My experience with Jb Hi Fi has always been good and that's why they are my go-to store for all tech needs.

              • +1

@ozioziozi: Good stuff mate, well done! :)

Don't go too crazy like i did 3 years ago. I spent two days putting in connection plates for everything including usb and extra hdmi's optic antenna
Ripped most of it out yesterday as i got the samsung s95c deal. The one connect box has a single thin lead for everything including power to the tv.
I'm guessing they'll all be doing that soon.

      • Yeah too late lol, I am removing and repositioning the install i did in 2018 to suit this TV, I wish it had the 1 connect system.

      • 1 connect box has it's own issues. Doesn't support 48gbps on hdmi 2.1 and has known to fail early. Under warranty is fine but post warranty they are quite expensive.

Got the old G1 65", regret not going 77"..
    Tempted at this price

    • +2

Same here! Lesson, TV cannot be too big

  • you think they are clearing stock for the new models?

    • +1

I’m told that new models won’t land till end of March / early April. Still a few more shipments coming in. Likely another clearance sale around April.

      • +2

i've had a black bar across my plasma for 6 months - i think it's time to pull the trigger

      • As of yesterday Perth main warehouse had 16 left.

        • Surely there'd be more coming in though. Theres no way that the current inventory + 16 left in Perth warehouse is going to last until the new ones land in two months time.

          • @buckethat: No idea, I was told they had sold 12 since the sale and had 16 left, I was worried as they are clearing them out but yeah its highly likely there are hundreds nationwide.

            • +1

@Spendmore: Bloke I spoke to at the store over the weekend said they had 82 more of the 77" G3 coming in, I'm guessing he meant for the vic warehouse? Also guessing it was stock for this sale.

      • +1

        I probably should wait then

        • Not sure they will go much lower than this, its a great price.

  • +1

    Crazy price!

  • Is anyone able to order it for pick up? We've tried four different cards + paypal and two different stores and the order gets cancelled every time.

    • +3

Was told its delivery only over 55" s per their policy however I was able to click and collect from the main warehouse, you must have a trailer or van, i dont think they allow even utes. They reckon they had too many returns from people damaging them in transit.

  • Finally came down from a ridiculous price and is now reasonable. I guess the same thing happened with the G2's as well

    • +4

And every LG OLED before it.

  • Damn, nearly $1k difference between C3 and G3 77"

    I'm on a 48" C1 (Aorus 48) panel as a monitor and absolutely love the OLED already so i'm thinking a C3 would suffice……..?

    • +2

I’ve got the C2 65” and it is an amazing TV.

  • Does the G3 come with a stand? The reviews I'm reading say it doesn't, but the JB listing says it does

    • +5

All LG's TV's sold in Australia come with a stand

LG G3 65: Features One Wall Design plus wall mount & pedestal stand included

      • Our G1 didn't. Had to be wall mounted as that's what it's designed to be

  • +2

    Unlike last year’s G2 ,
I have read that this years G3 comes with a stand as well as a wall mount .

    • +1

I didnt get a stand and the box says wall mount included stand available to be ordered.
There may be some old stock without the stand?

      • +1

It may be free for the G3 if you ask for it ,
I’d ask lg for one and say you were under the impression it was included.
If you have no luck there ask the retailer you bought from .
It was definitely written about last year as coming with a stand as well as the wall mount ,
and was part of the reason I didn’t buy a G2 last year as they only supplied the wall mount , stand was an extra couple of hundred on the 2022 model .

        • Yeah i will thanks, never know if i will need one in the future.

          • +1

            @Spendmore: Yes ,
you should have gotten an extra box with the stand ,
as Moses has reminded us of .
I’d say the retailer just ‘forgot’ to give it to u .
Go get it before they decide it’s theirs to sell .

    • +2

yep I got both. Didn't ask just got an extra box with delivery.

      • Thanks

      • Same for me (I was initially quite confused why a tv would come in two boxes)

  • Anyone have any experience using a 65"er as a monitor haha

    • -2

My Dad has the 55" (I think) samsung odyssey and it is probably as large as you would want, but hell yeah I would get used to a 65", could have 8 windows or more open no sweat.

  • +2

Gah damnit. Just bought this for $3300 from Videopro on the weekend since my Sony tv died after 6 years.

    • Still a good price.

      • +2

Spoke to video pro online chat and they confirmed they have 14 day price guarantee like JB/HN. Called them up and getting a $350 refund, nice!

        • Awesome, well done!

        • VideoPro are excellent to deal with, I too have had a good experience despite living in VIC.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yes, when I called them they said they had exceeded their eftpos limit for the day (whatever that means) and would call me back a bit later. They returned the call and then advised me they’ll email me so I have it in writing that they will refund me the difference tomorrow. Received that courtesy email within 10 minutes. Mighty impressed with that level of service.

    • Did you pay with a credit card ?
Then you may have a 30 day price guarantee .
This is why I just get jb to price match ,
Their return policy is quite generous as well as the price guarantee aspect aswell , if you can remember to recheck .
I don’t believe they do it automatically .

      • +3

Yeah I did but cc didn’t have the protection. Turns out videopro have price guarantee company wide though :)

  • +2

It's a beast of TV. You cannot ask more from it. Sound, picture, brightness, crispness, OS, everything awesome

Just wish it has backlit remote

    • +5

+1 for a damn backlit remote

    • +2

The OS could be better, the homescreen is basically a small row of apps and heaps of blank space once you turn off all the ads. It has a settings option to input location for weather but then it doesn’t display that anywhere on the Home Screen. At least the OS is snappy though, unlike extremely laggy Sony android tv i upgraded from. I find the magic remote a bit hit and miss if you use the pointer control as some apps like YouTube you hover over elements and then click, but it detects as you’ve clicked some other section on the screen, so end up having to revert to button presses to navigate instead.

Anyway they are small nitpicks in comparison to the obscenely good picture quality, but still good for people to know I think.

  • You can get the service remote on eBay ,
    don’t know if it’s backlit though .

  • +2

How does one hide a 65inch tv from the wife ?

    • +1

very carefully…tell her the telly has always been there, and she just never paid attention to it.

      edit:typo

    • +3

Use the 6incher as a decoy.

    • +1

Tell her its a painting like the samsung frame.

  • -1

Bing Lee is slightly more expensive but it works out around the same price with JB after factoring in the 15% bonus value returned in gift cards

Also there’s 5% Cashrewards cashback to stack with it

  • well i just pulled the pin got the 65 inch g3 replacing my 55 inch samsung qled delivered tommorow salesman said you wont see one again till next model but who knows sales pitch? anyway hope its worth it seems like a good price

    • Trigger 😉

  • lol yeah pin where did that come from

  • +1

Not gonna lie, this price has made my jaw drop for a brief period.

I've got an older 55" B model that I paid close to this price for.

I can't justify buying or investing in a new TV until my current one has a breakdown.

    • Agree.
I purchased a 55" S95B least year for $1420 and really finding it hard to justify these current flagship OLED model prices.

  • People who have relatively new TVs who are upgrading to this one, what do you do with the old TV?

Do you sell it on FB marketplace or some where else?

    • i offer it to my children they get first dibs then i decide if its worth the hassle of putting an add up and dealing with people that vs giving it away or the bedroom gets it

      • oh hey dad, haven't seen you in some time, i'm your long lost child.. :)

  • Just purchased the G3 65” and the Samsung Q990C soundbar. JB matched the prices from Appliance Central and used the usual 10% off gift vouchers bought on here in classifieds. 2024 models for both have been announced but I needed now and prices are more than decent. If JB drop prices in next 2 weeks hopefully can claim back the difference. Delivery for the TV in Sydney East was as soon as next day.
