Pretty good deal for this 2 pack, only downside is the 2-3 week back order.

0.95% surcharge on card, PayPal, WeChatPay, AliPay & UnionPay payments.

Personally I haven’t purchased anything from digiDirect myself but have used them to price match/beat and haven’t had any trouble with it. This may be an issue since it’s on back order, however depends on who you talk to once again :(

I couldn’t find any places selling the 2 pack other than amazon, if you do please comment, that would be great :)

Any feedback/constructive criticism on the item may help with someone wanting to purchase or avoid this as well :)

Seems to be a big supply shortage. My order from good guys has been on back order since just before Christmas. Date keeps getting pushed back

    • Must be the same across a few of the TP-Link mesh lines, my good guys order for the AC1900 (Deco S7) has been on backorder since around mid-Jan.

  • How does this compare with Google Nest Wifi Pro (6E)?

    • +2

I can't personally compare it with the Nest one, I moved from Google Mesh wifi to this, I hated Google's wifi configuration. This was really a big improvement, apart from the speed the app is much more powerful and there is a good web interface.

    • My cousin purchased one and he returned it. He said his Nighthawk MK62 got much faster speeds around the house. There is a known issue for slow speed which was apparently rectified with firmware but evidently not. I had the AXE75 for a short while and it was completely useless for a large house, very poor reach. I’m just going to wait for WiFi 7, I wouldn’t bother wasting money on 6E.

Wifi 7 will not solve your issue for reachability, in fact it's going to be worst.

        • Sorry, that's correct. I should have mentioned that I am waiting for WiFi 7 to drop in price as I don't see the point of purchasing 6E anymore, not because I want it for better range.

  • I picked up the 3 pack from TGGC for $503.

The Wifi 6ghz backhaul has super short distance and penetration, so I'd rather get 3 units just to make sure I'm getting the most out of the 6Ghz bandwidth.

Otherwise, the DECO-X80(2-PACK) at $333 is pretty awesome for most people's set up. The X80 is using the 5Ghz bandwidth and has a longer reach.

    $345 @ GGC - Online Only - Delivery ETA 4/3.

  • Is there any difference between XE and pro? I can not find anything in this comparison.
Also, what is the difference between v1, v2 or v3 version? Very confusing

Probably just the 2.5Gb Ethernet Port on the Pro compared to just Gigabit on the standard.

I have the 3 pack of the XE75 Pro and use it in a 3 level large house.
I have FTTP on a 1Gbit plan and get about 400 Mbit anywhere in the house with these.
I used to have 6 of the Deco M5's and this set easily outperforms that setup.
I do use one of the Deco M5's as a direct ethernet connection to a Kyocera Laser printer because it doesn't have Wi-Fi and is hidden away in a big storage cupboard.
    I can't fault these.
Nice to pull down 400 Mbit from XBOX game servers to over Wi-Fi…

  • Damn! Wish this was sold at JB
I am in the market to upgrade and want to offload all my JB vouchers!

This video review is a very good comparison of the performance differences.

Just skip to the charts for a quick view of the differences.

  • Price is well beyond my budget, but has anyone had experience with the cheaper models like the Deco X20 or Deco X50? Are range / speed still any good for a small 2 story unit?

    • +1

I just installed a 3 pack of Deco x50 units I got for $200 and they are good so far. Only reason I chose this model was cause some guy was selling them cheap. He didn't say much other than he gets them through his dad's business. He had a nice house that I picked them up from and they were new in the box so I took a chance.

I only have NBN100 FTTP and can get those speeds anywhere on a 700sqm property. Using a signal tester speeds are mostly 1000-2000mbps in the house (single story), slows to 200-300mbps around the edges of property and down to 100mbps on the street sitting in the car.

For most people I wouldn't think you need more than a x50/x55, even x20/x25 would be good. I was originally looking at the x68/x75 models too but really have no need for that extra speed. Also as others have mentioned I don't think 6Ghz Wi-Fi is worth it yet.

      • Thanks for the detailed reply. I think I can get the 3 pack of x50 for around a similar price. My unit is pretty small around 120sqm so think they would work well here too, maybe even overkill running all 3. 1000-2000mbps for wifi networking is way faster than what I currently get. Just tested and it was around 30-40mbps copying a file from one computer to the other!

With setup you just plug them into your existing router via the included ethernet cable, then setup through the app. Then just place them wherever and the existing wifi just automatically gets extended? (i.e no separate wifi spots for each unit / no need for separate settings etc?).

        • The 1000-2000mbps was reported connection speed using a wifi signal tester, i wasn't copying files or transferring data. I just watched the video someone posted above with actual speed tests, that would be more accurate and shows you really don't need those top end models.

I was surprised how easy setup was. Plug your internet into a Deco, setup using the app and it will prompt you to enter all the info needed. The nodes need no setup at all, just plug it in where you want it and it auto configures itself.

          • @closed: Oh right. Do you know what speeds you get under load transferring files across the mesh network?

The setup sounds great. The simpler the better.

            • @pixxelpusher: I only tested internet speeds and could reach the full 100Mbps everywhere. There are charts with that info in the video posted above
