  • Cheaper to go all the way to Amsterdam than simply a direct flight to Guangzhou

  • Any CS airline flight to India-Pak

    • I think they only fly to Lahore, but I don't see any bargains right now

That is Air China. This is China Southern. They are completely different airlines. But thank you for your helpful comment.

  • "Dates are from March to June 2024." Does this mean you have to leave and return on or between 1/3/2024 and 30/6/2024? Thanks

    • You can leave up to about mid June and return in July - if you click the links I have provided you can use the calendar view to click around and see whats possible date wise

Nice find - flew china southern back in 2019 to Amsterdam for about the same price. Very comfortable albeit with a long layover (14 hours) in china on the way home, they did give me a hotel and breakfast which made it more bearable. Anyone know when / if they'll be sale to Europe for flights around September this year?

    • +1

Hard to say with certainty, but September is usually a month where good deals do come up. Id say we will star seeing those in the next few months.

  • Has anyone used CS and can share your experience (for long haul to Europe)? What alternative airline would you rate their level of quality (comfort, food, service).
Dont know much about them but want to gauge if they're more Jetstar than Singapore Airlines.

  • Will they let you stop over in china for longer so you can use it as a base to take a trip to another Asian country and then return to continue trip to Europe

  • +2

Flew them last week. Excellent experience

    • did you take up their hotel offer and stop offer both ways?

If the trip includes transfer in China I don't recommend. You could have the security check again or even you could need to pick up your baggage and send it again plus the security check. I just had experience a day ago. Security check for transfer passengers… Years ago I had but still they do it.

One more tip… Don't scan your passport for a free wifi. It was very limited and for short time. I tried to use it then my phone was flooded with endless ads. I cannot block the ads and how I got it… I am thinking factory reset for my phone… Worthless. Useless.

    • Do you stay in transit somehow? Don't Aussies need Chinese visas to enter?

      • No. If you have an onward ticket you can transit visa-free in China up to 144 hours.

        • Interesting Thanks, but if I go Brisbane -Beijing (transit Singapore - non CSair) and stay 5 days and then return to Brisbane I need a $92 Visa with an in person application at local embassy and 10 digit finger prints scanned and passport taken for a week. ?????
