  Everyone talks about how Miele is better than Dyson, but for stick vacuums , Miele is 2 generations behind. Single cyclone action and the filter is an absolute PITA to extract and clean.

    Even if it is 2 generations behind, Miele is miles ahead of Dyson. The filter is not that complicated. Takes me less than 20 seconds to empty and reinstate and no more than 2 mins for a full clean.

    The Miele gets abused at my place on a daily basis. 3 kids, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 parrot. Hasn't missed a beat.

    Dyson concentrated on stick vacs for years, Miele owns the traditional Vac, stick vac is still new for them

    If only Dyson could design a good battery charger that didn't kill their batteries every 12 months.

    Having said that I haven't this cordless Miele. I have a Miele Cat & Dog great vacuum and motor/suction power, but the power head is useless with pet and human hair. After 5-6 times disassembling with a screwdriver and even after cleaning the wheels getting stuck/not turning I gave up on the powerhead.
