  • It's Air China any good? Luggage included?

    • +1

      Better than Jetstar

    • +3

It's not as slick as Singapore or Qatar, but it's still a full-service carrier. Baggage is usually 2x 23kg in economy, 7kg carry on (which no one checks). I've found it slightly better than China Eastern/Southern and about the same as Qantas. Much better than any LCC (Scoot, VietJet, Jetstar, etc.)

      • Missed on the deal. $700 that was cheap.

        • Yeah looks like a price error. There's been quite a few sub-$1000 return deals to Europe (Rome, Amsterdam) with Air China and other Chinese airlines recently. Hopefully there's some to LHR soon. IMO at those prices it's a no brainer.

  • Can't see any flights with that price

  • Ouch… 33hr long one way trip with layover

  • Definitely feels like a misprice - the other way (MEL to LHR return) doesn't throw up any cheap fares.

    • Australia to London is at least $200 more than the same return from London (maybe less due to UK increase in green taxes) or it was when I used to travel back annually.

There seems to be an Australian premium when booking from Australia. If you use currency conversion it always seems to be cheaper from Europe to Australia return than other way around.
