Am on the market for a router and saw this. It's end of life evidently which seems to be something people should be aware of for security reasons. Been cheaper in the past but seems like okay value at this price.

  End of life BUT Merlin is still doing firmware updates.

    Therefore I would recommend against this if you are going to use it as a main router. It could be useful for Mesh.

      Would I have been better of buying the other Asus router on the main page? It's just for home use as the main and only router. It's already shipped so not sure if it's worth returning or not.

      This is my main router already. Shouldn't be too concerned about no new updates should I?
      I mean, just replace in next year or so?
