I think the 4070 Ti Super is roughly 10-15% behind the 4080 / 4080 Super. Whether that is worth $400~ more or less is subjective. I think I'll stick with my 3070 at this rate until prices fall further.

then as soon as the price falls, the next gen of cards come out and it already outdated.

      the forever cycle.

      • Outdated is a stretch. Mate I'm using a 1080ti and I bet you even side to side you'd be struggling to point out any major differences worth spending another ccirc $1500

        • On my screen - easy - 1080Ti struggles - effectively 4k - 1080Ti is in spare machine for that reason.

        • +2

I'm still running a 1060. Can't justify the insane prices video cards are going for these days.

        • +2

it's hyperbolic, just making a bit of a joke ofc previous gens are more than useable

        • 1080ti is out liar nvidia really make mistake on that card, they learn not to future proof their product or people not updating it.

But then again even me clearly see my1080ti days at its end, once I change to new monitor then it cannot keep up anymore, it's a bottle neck in my system.

Dont let me start about AI

    • Sure is… 10-15% is the range from 1080p-1440p-4k.

I ended up with the 4080 Super as the 1% lows at 4k Ultra details were better than the 4070 Ti.

I was agonising for a while as the 4070 Ti Super were on special at $1399, if this deal would of popped up then I would of seriously looked at getting this as the price difference would of been larger. Laws of diminishing returns as you get higher in the stack.

      • Which 4080?

        • Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super Windforce v2 from PLE so local to me which was important for any issues.

          • @jlogic: $1869?

One of PLE stores is literally 2 blocks away from me.

      • +1

4070ti is a much better value then 4080
tis will be close to $1100 soon

  • +1

wasn't this 1000 bucks at one stage?

    • +6

Confusing naming system that's on Nvidia, that would have been the 4070 super or the 4070ti that's currently on sale for $1069

    • +3

      which one?
      4070 , 4070ti or 4070 super
I would wait for 4070 super duper to come out

      • +2

        the 4070 FTMD
        (Fire the marketing department.)

        • +1

but marketing department is making good $$ off schmucks

  • +2

Bloody ripoff if you ask me

  • cannot seem to get 1300, not an ebay plus member :(

    • +2

$1300 at CCPU in the description if you don't have eBay plus

      • cheers, mate!

  • +7

Tell Nvidia the best i can do is $900

    • +1

      They ignored you.

    • +9

I've emailed the CEO with your offer

    • +1

They are busy selling H200 for endless demands.

  • +2

Nice price but I already pulled the trigger on an RTX 4080 Super over the weekend.

This 4070 Ti Super with its 16GB of RAM will be a monster for ML/AI and give you an awesome experience with Nvidia’s new local LLM feature

    • which 4080 S and for how much?

      • +3

Zotac Trinity Black for 1699. Defo not worth the extra 400 buck but whatevs

  • Would this be worth over the regular non super 4070ti? The one at centrecom that is at $1069. Thinking of upgrading my old gtx 1080 for 1440p as it starting to struggle these days.

    • +4

just wait for 4070tis at $1100 soon, extra VRAM is handy

    • in exactly the same boat. need to upgrade my gtx 1080. Is amd worth considering? I'm not sure i can justify more than about $800

      • I feel like AMD is missing features/support in games like DLSS and better ray tracing. fsr is available on nvidia gpus anyway if a game decides to go that route. My first GPU was r9 390x and what a regret buy that was. Upgraded to the gtx 1080 as soon as it came out.

      • im an old style gamer - I turn off AA and all the other crap usually, so DLSS and RT doesnt interest me.
new games that use UE5 will not need RT and they run great on AMD
AMD just released their frame generation which is a cool feature.
the only thing I would say AMD is really poor on is VR but if that doesnt concern you, or the DLSS gimmick then you cant go past 7800 XT for $800 or so

  • I am currently using a 3070. Do I need to upgrade? I am looking for 2K with all settings at maximum, including ray tracing and all effects at their highest.

    • Nvidia says yes, you should have upgraded yearly

      • nVidia and Taylor Swift have same marketing team - you must buy or you're not worthy!

    • Well you won’t get what you want on your current gpu…

  • +2

Imo with the current pricing there's no point upgrading from 30xx series until next gen, the value is just not there.

  • Anybody purchased from this store before?

    • Yes, i have, back in November got my delivery on 3rd day after placing order

  • +4

Looks like the price went up by $10, seeing it as $1,301.90 with the discount now.

  • I've never owned a PNY graphics card. How is it in terms of warranty and build quality? Is it a hassle to claim warranty in Australia?

  • I bought 4070Ti at $1069. I doubt if the ~$300 is worth the 5% performance
