Bloodsport 4K via Amazon UK. Fantastic film, great 4K transfer. Surely one of the best intro themes ever. Price alert via camels.

Purchased it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to see the 'book' section in English rather than German.

Look up a review on YouTube to get a sense of the 'mediabook' special edition. Note that it's a little larger in height and width than a standard case.

Deal 21 percent claimed at time of posting.

    Great movie, but im not sure if I would shell out $50 for a 4k physical copy.

      yeah love this movie, but surely they need to understand tehy're competing against pirating and free. $52 at normal price is way too much, let alone at discount.

        Great to look back via rose tinted glasses.. Heh heh.. But I can't justify $52 personally.

      People probably paid $30 for this on VHS back in 1988, which would equal $81 in today's money.

        I don't know how anyone who watched it as a kid could answer this. There's definitely a lot of 80s cheese attached to it, I'd be interested in someone's opinion going in green.
        It's a great film IMO, then again I think most of the Marvel stuff (especially recent) and most modern action films are complete trash.

        Watched it in HD on Prime recently. I had seen it once as a kid, but couldn’t remember any of it except for one tiny scene, so it felt like a new movie to me.

        Stands up well as long as you know it’s an 80’s movie. There are some cheesey bits, but the action is great and the dialog is classic. My teenage kid watched it with me and was not keen at first, rolled eyes at the idea. First JCVD movie for him. But he loved it and was quoting it afterwards.

        TLDR: go in with low expectations and it’s a really fun ride.

      This is the first I've seen it discounted substantially below the $70 mark apart from the 'buy 2, get 6/8/12pc off' deals. Relatively new/late to 4K collecting and was a bit disappointed to find that Aussie retailers like JB only stock so many titles. It's a bit steep to go from $14 bucks for something you can grab during a JB sale, to what is apparently market price for something more niche, often US or UK distributors. Even more disappointing to find that so many of the movies I grew up with seem to fit more into that niche category!

    I love the movie and this may be the cheapest price but $52 yikes.

    No wonder physical media is dying and I say that as physical media fan.

    Update- Just saw it’s a 2 Disc Limited Edition which may explain it

      Yes, should have noted that. I'd go for a simple cheap standard edition if there was such a thing readily available in Aus. This mediabook/digibook format seems to be a German thing.

    Really interesting back story to with it being sold/pitch to studios as a true story. When I was a kid I know I believed the Kumite was real. Classic era of Bullshido.
