    Kids Headlamp $32.95 + Shipping

    $4 here…

  • This is perfect for those kids working in coal mines.

    Perfect!

Oh wait, kmart cheaper. More perfect!

    • Or kids working in ledlenser factory :D

  • +2

Kinda expensive. Will go for the Kmart ones with free shipping

    • c&C as well

  • Apple Vision Pro - Cyclops Accessibility Edition

  • +1

You can literally get this for $5 from Kmart or Bunnings. Albeit not rechargeable but still almost 8x cheaper than this.

    • But but but… they dont have "LED Lenser" stamped on them… :/

      • -1

        No but

      • -3

But but but they are rehcargeable, water tight, have 3 coloured light …….

      • +1

LED Lenser is a top tier torch manufacturer. This comment section is so off the mark it's hilarious

    • +2

You can literally get this for $5 from Kmart or Bunnings

You can literally get this product or you can literally get a different product that performs a similar function from a different manufacturer for $5?

Do you also neg every Apple deal for the same reason 🤣

    • -1

      You "literally" can't.

        • -2

Look up the word 'literally', andf start using it properly. Then look at the items you claim can perform the same function and see if you can literally tell the difference. And when you're finished there look at Ozbargain voting rules.

          • @Igaf: Aren’t you a friendly one!

            • -1

@JSONBourne: Literally depends what I'm dealing with.

              • @Igaf: Im Jason Bourne. You don’t know who I am.

                • @JSONBourne: But but but you literally just told me. How's your recovery going?

Seriously though the deal product is quite different from the others posted. I wouldn't pay this price but for kids there's some advantages - low lumens, coloured lights for fun, 2 yr warranty, rechargeable, lightweight, auto off.

                  • @Igaf: This is a bargain website, not a place to show your wares. Unless this was ordinarily more then $35/piece then it’s not a bargain.

                    • -1

@JSONBourne: Selling coal to Newcastle isn't very smart Mr Bourne
When you can show a better price for the same or an equivalnt product then you literally have a legitimate NEG.

                      • +2

@Igaf: At this point I'm not convinced you aren't an alt for this store because you're being weirdly defensive over a $35 kids torch.

                        • @JSONBourne: Care factor? Zero approaching negative infinity Mr Bourne.
The obvious alternative is that I cant abide bs comments and misuse of this website's rules, which might lead to sellers or Ozbargainers not posting deals in future. Deals aren't for everyon, and it's easy to comment about genuine alternatives without figuratively kicking up a song and dance about it.

                          • +3

@Igaf: Why not just report it to the mods & you will find out if it's a valid neg vote or not?

I've read the voting guidelines 100's of times & still get it wrong sometimes.

Ever stopped to think you might be wrong as well?

                            • -5

@WatchNerd: Why would I bother? The rules are clear enough, people need to learn how to use them and why they're important.
                              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

Can you post a link to similar cheaper product because so far no-one has been able to?

Is it a deal/bargain? Not for me but then many deals aren't.

                              • @Igaf: I've asked a mod to help clear it up, hopefully they will reply.

                                • @WatchNerd: Not according to the rules but as you might know sometimes mods just let the site users decide.

Question. How would ytou react if someone posted a cheap Kmart watch while negging your next watch deal? After all they all perform the same basic functions right?

Fine line to tread but the one thing we shouldn't do is discourage sellers with genuine discounts.

                                  • @Igaf: Igaf you're spot on. Though I've seen the exact same responses in other torch deals. People have no idea. There's no point trying to argue it.

                                    • @Hinee: Occasionally worth a crack though I think Hinee. I don't mind people putting up links to approximately similar products in the right spirit. That's completely missing here and the not uncommon pile-on proceeded as expected.

Watchnerd has gone eerily missing, presumably looking for a cheaper equivalent product so we can bury the deal legitimately.

                                • @WatchNerd: Meantime can you post that link?

                                  • @Igaf: I got a reply from the mods but it was via PM. They said @JSONBourne gave a reason for the negative vote.

Happy to provide a screenshot if you don't believe me.

                                    • @WatchNerd: Thanks for the update. Obviously the mod couldn't be bothered checking if the comment was even vaguely relevant but I'll keep his? ruling in mind for future deal negs - ignore all the carefully considered rules, all you need to do is comment.

As I think you'd probably concede, Jase's comment was akin to calling a zebra a tiger (both are mammals with four legs, stripes, two eyes and ears, etc), unless of course you believe that this Kmart watch is "similar" to the ones you regularly post? I really don't think that's the case but perhaps I'm wrong.

The issue largely resolved itself thanks to Hinee, not old mate Jase or the other neggers, or you for that matter.

Apologies to our much maligned woolly friends (after all they underpinned our economy for decades) but this site regularly has a few sheep loose in the top paddock.

                    • +1

@JSONBourne: I seem to be the only person in this deal who's actually looked up comparable prices for this exact item and most places are over $40. Tentworld is on special down from $47 to $33.

                      • +1

@Hinee: Considerably cheaper if you can c&c from Tentworld and can't from the OP (~same if you can), and very marginally cheaper delivered to my location. Thanks for a demo on how Ozbargaining is supposed to work. You can have the rest of the day off.

  • +2

Doesn't appear to be a bargain, similar products much cheaper elsewhere.

    Seems more like Ozfreeadvertising.

  • +4

Uggg so many links, what a gross looking advert.

  • +3

They probably bought 500 off aliexpress for 30c each

    • That would be an amazing deal if there was one.

At that price point, I would expect it to be a lot lighter. at 250 grams this torch is heavy for a kid's head torch.

    • -1

Weight of the Headlamp is 25 grams.

    • Edit: Specs say 100g, Where are you (both) looking?

      • weight shown on the website is shipping weight

      • +1

They changed the weight on the website. it used to say 0.25 KG, now it says 0.1 KG. it also does not specify it is shipping weight.

        • -1

          Tentworld says 35g.

          • @Igaf: Why are you looking at Tenworld? I don't care for the light, all I am saying the specs on the OP site have changed.

            • +1

@pitufon: Yep understood. I posted Tw specs because they're more detailed and probaby accurate. Just a heads up.

Friends don't let friends buy Ledlenser.

    • +1

I've been rocking the same LED Lenser headlamp for over a decade now and it's never missed a beat.

      • I think if you have the older stuff it just won't die, but the newer stuff seems like garbage. Kind of like Waeco.
