The vegetarian (vegan?) sausage rolls are pretty good tbh.

      • +3

I agree, better than the meat ones imho, and I'm no vegetarian.

    • I would for such

Cost of sauce ruins this doesnt it?

    • +9

Sauce is free at my local

      • +4

I haven’t seen any 7/11 charge for sauce but I haven’t bought a pastry from them in a while.

    • +5

Which store is making you pay for the complimentary sauces??

    • +6

Nah they're free. I normally grab a handful mixed for future.

      • +2

Me too I usually need one, sometimes two but I grab 4, just for easy later, portable use. Ehh they are free, and probably cost the company like 5 cents each, maybe less, I don't feel bad about it.

    • +2

and how much are they charging you for their free sauce?

    • +1

Free sauce, I usually take two (for a meat pie at least)

      • +1

You need 2 for a pie, at least I do.

    • My 2 locals they are free, but you only get 1 per serving.

      It's still enough

What is the nutritional info for these?

    Mrs Macs ones taste better…

    • +1

      Feels better too

      • +1

Yeah, she knows how to take the sausage.

    • +1

      30% better, when cold?

      • I heat them up first.

        Takes 2.5 mins.

    • What is the nutritional information for these?

      • That's in the link I posted.

Had this last week for $3. Not bad for a cheap ass lunch with the large $1 slurpee

    • +5

Yeah, they do the trick when you're trying to combat inflation.

      • <insert joke about sausage and inflation here>

Wake up guys this is F****** S***

Life is too short to eat bad sausage rolls. If you're going to take a hit health wise then hold out for something special - like the pork and fennel sausage roll from Bourke Street Bakery cafes. Having said that - I sometimes have a Mrs Macs at the footy ;)

    • +7

Placing bets they are not $2-3?

      • Nice sleuthing

If you're going to take a hit health wise then hold out for something special

    • +1

      Yeah those are the best

    • +1

I read that as Mrs Mac's booty

  • Damn mine says tomorrow!

  • Too much sodium, nope

Im still hoping 7-11 here become more like ones in Asia

I regretfully bought one of these last week (“meat” version). The afternoon was one of indigestion and lunch repeating on me. Never again, even if $0🤢

    • Yeah, I get real bad indigestion as well from these.

  • Love to eat the Sausages <3

    • That's what she said.

      • gives new meaning to a $2 7-11 sausage roll

        • Sucking not recommended lol.

  • Is this locale dependent?
Not showing up on either account.

  • $2 is expensive

  • +3

New & improved packaging im sold .pffff.

Sausage rolls are the food that most disappoints me in my old age.

I remember that when I was young, before supermarkets, when they came from bakeries, I thought they were a delicious treat.

I've tried brand after brand, and these days they range from unpalatable to outright disgusting. I bought some Woolworths ones that I told them afterwards I thought the filling wasn't even fit for human consumption.

    • +2

      Yep total trash

    • +1

Agree, you're almost better off getting a pastie I reckon.

  • +1

The bacon cheese ones are allright. Mornos and Arvo teas sorted.
