Same basic deal as this one, but it's expired: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/827170. Seems like a good deal, even if Vodafone locked you should be able to unlock for a $50, meaning it's still the cheapest G14 going right now (cheapest of all time appears to be $134.10)

Do phones still come locked to network in 2024? I was under the impression it was a thing of the past. The only time my phone was locked to a network was back in 2003 to orange network.

Reminder that this Vodafone version and all the carrier network branded/locked G14 phones are single nano sim, whereas the retail version is dual nano sim. https://www.motorola.com.au/smartphones-motorola-g-14-2023/p

  • The ‘bundle’ means the phone has to be always using vodafone sim to get to work? In other words it won’t work when I using other providers sim? Or it will be unlocked when some criterion to be met?

It doesn't explicitly say, but it's a fair assumption that it's locked to Vodafone. Having said that, the fact it doesn't say may be a good way to get them to unlock it for free. Or take it back.

  • locked to network? What is this? 2007?
