ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS Wi-Fi AMD Ryzen AM5 ATX Mobo + AMD Ryzen 7 7700 $531.34 Delivered @ Rarewaves-Outlet (UK) eBay

730

I suspect it is price error because that is very cheap. Title says Ryzen 7700, description says 7700x. Any one of them is good enough.

That is a killer deal! Pretty much paying $300 for CPU and $230 for the motherboard.

ty think ill cave need something for my sim rig

  • shipped from the uk will local warranty be any good?

    • +1

ebay are a pain in teh arse best of times

If this was amazon it would be the greatest PC deal in 6 months

as they honour all warrantys from any amazon affiliate

  • +2

Wow basically a free motherboard!! Great find.
Free shipping from UK too…wow wow.

Hope the warranty is still the same as here.

  • +3

Very tempted, but I think having to deal with eBay/UK seller if any issues arise is making me hesitate, as well as my preference for an Intel iGPU for QuickSync… Awesome value deal though, lowest price for 7700 was around ~$400 so you're basically paying $130 for an ATX B650 wifi motherboard

Good deal but couple things buyer need to beware:
    a) Seller doesn't accept return so you need go through eBay return process (may take 2-4 weeks or longer) or do a chargeback with your credit card.
    b) Asus international warranty is region based. Product purchase in UK would be consider Europe region and Australia fall under Oceania region so Asus not going to honor your warranty claim.
    c) AMD doesn't provide international warranty for their cpu base on their site T&C.
    d) Seller only show the 1 picture which is the mobo, I wonder if the listing just for the mobo? Seller might only send the mobo and you need to deal with the return process in the end.

eBay Product Image also using the non-wifi model.

    • Their mobo-only listing are also ridiculously expensive, even if this is mobo only its strangely cheap in comparison.

I took the gamble. Lets see what happens

  • +1

What gpu can you pair with this cpu without bottlenecking

    • +5

      pretty much anything,

  • Took the chance, if only the mobo turns up/warranty issues ebay returns tend to be solid.

  • Has anyone dealt with this dealer before!?

    • +2

I have bought a bunch of records off them (I ordered one today too) and have been good to deal with even when my parcels have gone missing.

  • It's a good price but it's a gamble dealing with a UK ebay seller, region specific warranty etc.

Also, any 6 core Zen 5 will likely blow this away in a few months.

    • Also, any 6 core Zen 5 will likely blow this away in a few months.

Probably but going by past behaviour it'll probably also cost close to this price as well.
AMD's release prices have been pretty steep these last couple of generations
The 7600x was around $480 when I started paying attention to it

    This seems dodgy AF:

They have been around for a long time https://www.rarewaves.com/pages/faqs
they probably use the outlet to sell stuff cheap outside of the UK.

      • Which seems … dodgy AF!

Just because a business has been around for a long time, doesn't mean they can't be dodgy …

        • That is true, Coles and Woolworths are prime examples!

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Rarewaves, both their ebay out outlet and their normal store over the last 3 years and never had a problem with them.

          • @BlasterBoy:

never had a problem with them.

Never had to return anything? No warranty claims?

The vast majority of business run fine. It's only when you need support that you find the cracks.

I'm not saying this mob are dodgy, just seems dodgy they won't ship to their own country. There must be a reason for it. That reason may be perfectly valid, of course.

@photonbuddy: I got sent the wrong record one time, asked if i could return it and still get the one i ordered, they just refunded me…

"Returns not accepted" Is this normal for eBay sellers? I don't need it but I bought it anyway since I have spares DDR5 RAM sitting in the cupboard.

    • This usually refers to change of mind returns - some eBay sellers permit it, others don't. If you buy something that doesn't work, absolutely you should still expect to be able to return it (although sending it back to the UK may be a pain).

      • +1

Ahh OK. I guess I am building my 4th computers now.

        • It's an addictive hobby for sure, but still cheaper than meth

Purchased, lets see how it goes.
Considering there is already 33 sold we will see how long this takes…

      UPDATE: Cancelled
I guess way toio many people bought it to make it viable for them.

      • Was 72 sold when I saw it a couple hours before it went down

  • +2

    Purchased! Will update.

  • I have purchased one. Will keep this updated.

    • Cancelled, I ordered at approx 3 pm

If this is successful and you managed to be successful in getting Amazon to send you the $950 4070ti that's a lot of PC for the cost

    • If I nailed that 4070 ti I'll def try my luck with this one. Otherwise bit of hesitant to go thru the fuss after…

I was doing an Intel build but, if this comes off, I’m doing an AMD one.

Read the 1 star verified reviews from this place on eBay. Quite concerning, from delays to poor packaging to used/incorrect items.

    • It has 1 million reviews, of course there are bad reviews.

      • Yes but the nature of those bad reviews do not abide well for this deal now do they? Having 1 million reviews doesn’t mitigate that risk.

        • What about the other 98% good reviews then?

          • @Dienk: You mean the ones about DVD/CD/Book purchases? Yeah looks great. The 1 star reviews seem to be more skewed towards tech consumer related items like a CPU cooler and switch for example.

I hope I’m proven wrong really, more and more of these deals that have been found have either been cancelled due to price error or worse, ended up being a 1 star review experience.

  • Zero warranty & returns policy is a bit risky!

    • eBay buyer protections are a decent backup

If you're sending an item back because it doesn't match the listing or it arrived damaged or faulty:
The seller pays for return postage
The seller should provide a way for you to return the item, or offer you a refund
You'll need to send it back using the postage label or other method provided by the seller

  • Man, I was planning to buy a prebuilt like 2-3 years down the line, but with a deal as good as this I guess I'm upgrading my PC piece-by-piece.

  • Well.. threw my hat into the ring and paid with PayPal and it has eBay money back guarantee so I feel fairly confident this could be real…

  • The listing has been nuked so something's happening.
    Item description is now "NotAvailable4711081912767"

    • Interesting 🤔 also marked out of stock..

  • about opening time in the UK so seller probably seen all the orders. expect cancels soon i guess
