Hi all, a lot of people in the netflix turkey thread is saying their membership has been cancelled but did not specific the payment type.

I am trying to determine what the criteria of membership cancellation is, please vote only if you are on Netflix Turkey

EDIT: Official "story" provided by netflix:

As per checking To protect members against unauthorized charges, we sometimes cancel accounts that show signs of unusual activity. It looks like your account was canceled for this reason.

They will even recommend you dispute charge via your card company to get a refund as they did not provide you with the service you paid for. So everyone go and get your money back and then buy Turkey Gift Cards ahaha Personally I recommend turgame 200TL gift cards if you order after 5pm they will arrive pretty fast.

      The geo-lock lasts for approximately 28 days after resubbing, after which you can watch from any country without a VPN.

          Yeah pretty much. I reckon plan of attack is to just hook the computer up to the tv with VPN on until it’s been 28 days & then buy gift cards monthly until they inevitably crack down on that too. After that, arghhhh

      Nah…as I noted here, that's just default email they send. It's not like they are saying, come back to Netflix at Turkey prices and it's all good now to use in Australia. :-)

    Tried buying Netflix GC from G2A, but account got ban! They didn't provide an explanation, just that it cannot be reversed.

    Created a new G2A account, brought a GC from G2A, and now getting the error:

    We couldn't get your keys
    Please refresh this page or try again later

    Looks like I have to pay full fees?

        TurGames worked the first time.
        Doesn't work anymore, the order gets auto cancelled for some reason.

          I had 2 decline before 1 worked and used that ever since.

          Anyways, hope you can get your coin back, and if it is convenient for you, setup RD
          (I was still on Netflix band wagon until a week ago, tried it and would never go back, 20 mins to setup and run…

            Which payment method and card? I've had 2 failed transaction this month even with different method using my 28D card.

            Not sure if I need to VPN to buy GCs now… I never had to before.

              @CodeXD: IYZI Everytime , previously used Revolut, now use Macquarie Bank. Debit cards both times. (No VPN)

              Edit, iirc needed VPN (PIA iirc, or Nord) to activate on Netflix though.

                @Zuelly: Thanks for the offer. I actually tried to do it again this afternoon and went through successfully. Turns out I was misremembering my card's cvc number so was getting payment failed.

                I like that turgame now has 500 and 1000 TRY gift cards, definitely easier than buying 5 x 200.

                  @CodeXD: I will suggest to buy 1 gift card at a time in case netflix starts culling again. This will hopefully help you escape a bigger loss of unused credit.

    So my Tur acc got cancelled like most ppl here at near end of Feb, havent touched it since and now tryna resub using Tur GC, have bought 75TL GC ready to use.

    as @BargainsGrabber said above, when click the redeem link with NO VPN, it said Invalid code.

    So had to turn on VPN, redirected to tr-en/redeem website, it reads the GC code but when it asks me to login with the associated account, kept spewing with Error:
    “Incorrect password for [email protected]”
    I absolutely got my pw right since I tried to login to the acc with VPN OFF and got in right away, to the AUS account.

    Prompts me to either login via one time code, or reset password.

    •Chose one time code send via email, error message “Something Went Wrong. We are having technical difficulties and are actively working on a fix. Please try again in a few minutes“

    •Chose Reset password, via email, error “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.”

    I’m stumped

      Make sure you are logged in first without VPN

      Turn on VPN and then go to https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem to redeem gift card

          I was doing all that via iOS Chrome Incognito.

          Gave up and used DuckDuckGo full incognito browser, worked wonderfully. Geolocked tho, so just waiting game now.

          I have tried multiple browsers across multiple devices and VPNs, all still have this error.

            @snuke: Read my other reply, used DuckDuckGo super incog browser and good to go. Just reloaded my TR acc with another TL75 while waiting til mid april until geolock lifted

              To be clear, is this DuckDuckGo on iOS?
              There is no "DuckDuckGo super incog browser" and DuckDuckGo doesn't have an Incognito mode.

              Did you log into your Account via DuckDuckGo while using a VPN?
              One issue I have, if I am not already logged in, I can't log into Netflix with a VPN in use, I have to log in with no VPN, then turn the VPN on to do the Account action, as CodeXD mentions.

              I just tried DuckDuckGo on iOS.
              Logged in with no VPN.
              Turned on Surfshark VPN to Turkey on iOS (also tried Nord & Pure)
              Went to the https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem
              Entered Gift Card code and got “ An error occurred during gift redemption - please try again later.”

                @snuke: Just do online chat with customer help and they will apply the codes for you. They did it for me.

                    @snuke: I did it via DDG and that itself is a super incog by default as in full incog not like Chrome’s incog. Other side does not read/keep your data either, hence full.

                    Yep on iOS, it did give me some trouble when I wanted to reload funds (had to top up since I only bought 2 weeks worth initially) but I tried it another time and it worked again.

                      Anyway, got it done by using Chat to apply the code.

                          @noelhoi: No, I had VPN on, but the language chosen account wide is English, so it defaults to English chat.

                          I told them it wouldn't work, they asked if it gave an error, I supplied that.
                          They asked for the GC code, and they applied it and told me I was covered until July 7th.

                          I then got an email confirming the application of the GC.

    I don't know why you all bother trying to rejoin etc, best thing that ever happened was NF cancelled Turkey subscribers, saved my money now. I don't mind waiting 5 seconds…LOLZ

    This was my approach after by Account was cancelled:
    - resubscribe with gift cards from turgame
    -only sign into Netflix from portable devices (phone, chromecast, computers) and definitely DO NOT sign into your native Netflix tv app as clearly your TV is not a portable device you travel with.

    I’ve been using Netflix on my Apple TV and chromecast with Google TV. Private internet access VPN on the chromecast meant I could still watch on TV

    I’ve been going on 2.5+months with no issues now apart from waiting on the geo block.

      Forgot to add, I only had to use the VPN to watch until the month long geoblock was lifted. I’ve now been watching with no VPN for more than a month
